sign Cousins and I.Thomas or Rondo
StarksEwing1 @ 6/30/2019 11:29 PM
Agreed. Ive been screaming for building through the draft since 2000. Im happy we are finally sticking to that plan. Im glad we didnt trade every asset we had for Davis(injury prone). I never wanted Kyrie(injury prone and headcase). I would of been fine with KD but once he tore his Achilles that was it, seen too many players never be the same after that ending. I rather do short term deals, continuing building our young core, and having flexibility in the future when it makes sense

This. I think if Durant didn't tear his Achilles this group is gone in an AD trade.

So how do you explain the KP trade? No trust whatsoever in our front office.

Thats Easy. KP had become a diva and demanded a trade. What did you expect us to do? He threatened to sign a QO then become a UFA. Instead we got assets for him. He didnt want to be here yet you are blaming the front office lol

That might have been different if you were looking at a healthy KD, Kyrie and AD.
CrushAlot @ 7/1/2019 12:58 AM
The Knicks seemed to target upgrading the 4/5 position. With Mitch, Randle, Portis and Taj I think they have a great rotation. Smith jr. , Kadeem and Frank at the point, RJ and Dot at the two and Knox , Iggy and Wilkes at the three. Wooten might end up making the roster as a 4/5. No complaints. My guess is the Knicks check in with Kawhi and then make their next move.

I hope we can bring Mudiay back, that or find another PG to sign.

Great job adding/improving the talent upfront- and we have struggled there for years - or at least since we traded Robin Lopez away, and KP started to get hurt.

I like the signings so far. Smart, team options, young players.

We were a pretty bad team last year. Don't go all in and still be bad.

Again - resign Mudiay or give me another PG- right now, there aren't better options out there- too bad we missed on Rubio and Dragic - both would have been great options.

Ive said that since peryy got here they preach it but don't sign anyone that plays it. I wanted to like Perry but these signings especially Bullock and Gibson are downright brutal. Its like they don't get modern basketball at all. They signed post scorers in Randle and Gibson when the league doesn't value it anymore. They signed a 28 year old wing who can't shoot. They don't know what they're doing I wish I could stop being a fan because I can't watch this shit show anymore.

Thread title should be "Trust the Processes" because this is like the third course correction in a year

nothing in particular against these guys except it seems only mildly different than last year when we took lottery busts hoping to catch lightening in a bottle

there is no way on earth anyone thinks any player we got in FA is a foundational piece to a contender; they might be nice; but they're not foundational. So instead it seems we dumped Porzingis to get cap space to maybe get to 30 wins

The next process should be to clean house of FO and CS but the cupboard is bare of candidates. just like we missed out on FA (sorry these signing signal Kicks know Kawhi is not coming) we also missed out on the good coaching candidates last year.

We not missed out.
We were not considered by anyone with goal other that get Dolans money and then enjoy paid vacation.
Knicks did garbage in garbage out for 20 years.
Time to stop, accept that we sucked and still suck and start working on getting out of this hole.
And this what we do last 2 years and will need to do some more to became a place the elite of NBA is coming to work and win.
