Rappers Delight

(The remix, because things keep changing)

“I got bodyguards, I got two big cars, that definitely ain't the whack
I got a Lincoln continental and a sunroof Cadillac
So after school, I take a dip in the pool, which is really on the wall
I STILL gotta color tv... so I can see...

The Knicks play basketball.”
-The Sugar Hill Gang

After the “sky is falling” wailing and gnashing of teeth grinds down, you still gotta consider how the sum of parts compose a team... you still gotta play the games:

For starters, experience matters
G Effrid Payton, 25, averaged 10.1 points and 7.6 assists
G Wayne Ellington, 31, 10.3 pg on 40.3 pct, 37.1 pct @3pt
G-F Reggie Bullock, 27, career 39.2% from three

F Bobby Portis, 24, avg 14.2 pts, 8.1 Reba, 39 pct on 3 pt.
F Taj Gibson, 34, 10.8 points and 6.4 rebounds per game

C Julius Randle, 24, 21.4 pts, 8.7 reb, 3.1 assists.

“Did you say Yutes?”
The return of the Pine Brothers
Bring them along at their own pace. Westchester is always an option.
No need to force feed them. They are only babies:
G Dennis Smith Jr, 21
G Frank Ntilikina, 20
G Alonzo Trier, 23
G RJ Barrett, 19
F. Ignas Brazdeikis, 20
F Kevin Knox, 19
F Henry Ellenson, 22
C Mitchell Robinson, 21

Lets hope so....We could use any good luck that comes our way. Frank was a high lottery pick. Time to show up.

I'm in the content minority and proud to be so. I expect a better roster, maybe significantly. I expect some growth among the younguns as well as growing pains. My first question -- what kind of defensive team will this be? That's where success begins to my mind.

Did anyone mention that Elfrid Payton dropped a triple double in FIVE consecutive games?

If the Knicks can uncover a player who can deliver 10 productive minutes at center, things get a skootch more interesting at MAdison Square Garden.

Damn the forecasts of gloom and doom. Most of the negative Nancy’s in the press never picked up a rock or played a pickup game. I say roll out the ball racks and lets play some basketball.

Enough chatter.

He is on our summer league roster. We need another C with outside shot so Ellenson or Kornet should be back if we dont get a better alternative.
