Bucks playoff series does not look good.

Billy donavon and okc has mutually parted ways.

Maybe Billy knew the team will trade Paul and go on a rebuild due to the losses caused by the pandemic.

I've said it before and I'm in favor of trading for Paul with a maximum offer of randle, DSJ, ellington, cash and our 36th pick.

unstopaball12 @ 9/9/2020 1:14 AM
Donovan will be a hot commodity-76ers, pacers or bulls will be hot for him.

TripleThreat wrote:Actually if Billy Donovan couldn't find a head coaching job he wanted, I'd say the Knicks should hire him in some role for the franchise.

Makur Maker is drawing attention because teams are starting to project him out as a 7 foot point guard. No one that big should be able to flip his hips like a cornerback. He's not there, not even close, but he's a shockingly good passer for his size/experience/age profile. More NBA teams are paying attention to prospects with a soccer background. His handle is good enough to be more than a rim runner. It doesn't seem like he'll make it as a Stretch 4/5. Odds are against him but he ever figures it all out, he'll terrorize teams.

I've thought this for year, kids who play soccer at a young age get exposed to better footwork and it translates directly to other sports. For basketball players, having undersized feet is a plus too for foot speed. Hakeem was the first player who had a dominant soccer background that I knew. And for the small feet, Harden and Mitch for their size.

sad. Thats all you come away with after that game.
I freaking loved that game and rooted for Toronto who willed itself to win that game. Gritty defense won it.
I wasn’t thinking of any knick just enjoyed a great game
Would Kyle Lowery be the same player with Melo/Knicks and lasted two contracts? Put yourself back in that moment and ask why was Toronto considering moving him at that time?

So the #1 for Frank should have been traded for Lowry and should have also been used to pick DSJ I mean Donovan Mitchell. Got it.

Trying to keep my 20/20 hindsight sharp.

I enjoyed the game, but every time i watch him i just think of our pg's over the last 6 seasons...smh

It wasn't to pick on Frank because he didn't asked to be pick there, but watching these playoffs..we need to level up badly at the pg position, it's not even an option.

Many suns will rise and set until the draft and trades can occur. Internal growth can happen as well.
Until than you might as well try to behold the beauty of the game as played by others. It was awesome that those two teams were punch drunk and then starting raining in three’s. They made the three throws. Tatum hits a clutch three to keep game i reach. In the end defense won the game. Thats where you should top and appreciate Frank. Leadership can come in different forms. Defense is also a demonstrated quality.
We all agree we need more talent. WE all agree some or all of our favorite yoots might not pan out.
I don’t dislike either boston or Toronto and was just plain enjoying the game. Lowery was awesome. Sorry he brings you pain.

Amazing journey for Lowry- he used to be a playoff choker every year, then last year he became clutch- great ending to his career. No way we would have been patient enough with him to reach this point even if we had traded for him

the choker label was b/c he was joined by the hip with derozan - a huge net negative. if you look at lowry's playoff clutch stats and performance in elimination or clinching games, he's been phenomenal. the difference is that fans are now seeing him w/o demar and on a good defensive team, so now all his positives are really on display. but ask any raptors fan - lowry has been the heart & soul of the team for the whole "we the north" era. i like derozan, he was a consummate teammate, but he was such a negative in the playoffs that it wasn't even fair.

and those stats don't reflect this playoff run.

BigDaddyG @ 9/10/2020 4:25 PM
Ok, MPJ has said enough dumb crap for me to conclude that he might've needed another year in college on top of a season or two in the G-League. He has the maturity of a 16 year old on an AAU team.

The Knicks have been discussing a deal with the Raptors centered around a package featuring Raymond Felton, Metta World Peace and either Iman Shumpert, Tim Hardaway Jr. or a 2018 first-round pick.

were we patient with THJ and shumpert, Lowry would have been an upgrade over felton, considering we miss the playoffs by 1 game that yr, maybe there would be no need for phil

sola's report lends more credence to this, with his source saying Dolan "didn't want to get fleeced again" and that a deal was ready to go before the owner nixed it. Dolan was also reportedly upset that details of the proposed deal went public

Dolan lost again without even making the trade,,lol

I don't understand what you're trying to say about THJ and Shump- they kind of demonstrate my point. We traded THJ after one or two seasons, then re-signed him a few years later, then traded him away after two seasons. We tried to trade away Shump nearly every season we had him (one year he got injured the day of the deadline, the other year Doc Rivers tricked us so we wouldn't trade him elsewhere.

It's completely throwing me off that the early game tonight is Clipper-Nuggets and the late game is Toronto-Celtics but it makes sense

I've not enjoyed the Clips-Nuggets series at all, but this Raptors- Celtics has been great. Can't wait for the winner vs Heat series and the Clips vs Lakers

Allanfan20 @ 9/11/2020 7:08 PM
The ECF is going to be awesome... even though I hate the Heat.
