Nobody puts a gun to a teams head and makes them do this stuff. In some demented sense maybe we should be glad we drew the line with KP and Janis making demands and we refuted them.
The morning after looks bad and Clippers hang that trade out and it looks even worse. Balmer wants his new arena and there was a window in the west they went all in and tried to climb thru. there are no great teams in the NBA right now!!!! GSW on hold due to injury and Kawhi leaving Toronto shifted the balance. Nobody really sticks out which gives lakers the window now. At ths point Lebron looks pretty damn pretty with where they sit.

What happened to "Mooby just runs pre-season boat trips but doesn't want anyone else taking the spotlight?" What happened to "Mooby forced his way here via team rape!!"

That PG13 trade will look like shit forever. Denver was running an effing layup line.

Don't think you have to be demented to let a broken unicorn go. Just more like dementia in how he was handled. That's a Phil reference, Nalod. Sorry, not sorry

Straight doodoo

Is it safe to say that we won the Morris trade?

Wrong battle. Jokic dominated game 7. Buddy Rabbit vs Lotto was super close.

serious question for rules nerds. Why isn't that goaltending?

amazing block (and game)

I was going to try and pretend this didn't happen, but....😢...I think Oak needs an intervention.

Even his ex pal Jordan is cringing!

right but i was wondering since the ball is in the cylinder. Guy can't reach through the rim to block a shot, or pull a ball away that's on the rim, so i was like what's the difference

Anyway amazing play and i don't know the rules so was just curious

edit: did some googling: https://official.nba.com/rule-no-11-basket-interference-goaltending/

clearly legal block under the "exception" clause

In the technical sense then Dunks would be offensive interference. But we know otherwise. As said, hand was on the ball. Negates both ball in the cylender and goaltending. Its a good question looking at the picture.
It was a brilliant play and might be "The play that decides the series" Rim protection is rarely a game ending play.

I was most curious because of the fact that his hand and seemingly the ball are on the rim. So while it's legal to block a downward trajecting dunk i was curious because (a) defender is not supposed to touch the rim and (b) defender is not allowed to pull the ball off of the rim (which also happened to some degree)

that said the rule is pretty clear.

Lebron had that famous block against GSW

KP was traded for CAP space remember. Cap space that was guaranteed to be used for Kyrie. Well, I mean KD. Umm possibley AD? But definitely not Kawhi. Or hopefully the guy form Milwaukee. Yet now unfortunately a 35 year old CP3.

Btw JROD. How shocked are you that the Clips lost to Denver and the Rockets lost to LA? The stash we gave up to Denver finally kicked some ass. And I really thought that only a cooler like Melo could keep PG, Harden, CP3 or Russ from winning it all? Someone should really consider pairing two those guys up together. Without Melo of course. Or imagine pairing up just one of those superstars with a perennial chip contender like Kawhi? That team would run the league! I know we don't have enough cap space to add two of those but maybe we should trade all our assets and give up that above mentioned KP cap space for one of them?? We can only dream.

This Miami Boston series is gonna be really great. Some of the best consistent organized basketball I’ve seen.

True.
My FA PG puts up 25 in Game 2 victory.

The Heat, who woulda thunk it....
Chandler @ 9/18/2020 8:15 AM
i'd like to see Denver beat LA because (a) i hate Lebron's arrogance and (b) it would be the best Finals in long time seeing Denver vs Miami or Boston.

I like the way 3 of the teams are playing the game

Nalod @ 9/18/2020 8:44 AM
Be fun if someone pulled up preseason NBA predictions. I can’t recall my exact thoughts but I believe on on record thinking the pieces on the Clippers would not add up and some respect to the Nuggs.

IN retrospect it should be no surprise that Miami is good that Butler was added but the roles of Robinson and Herro is.
Also Bam rise is notable. The chemistry from Leadership provided by Butler is an impressive fit. For a full apprecation one has to look. Back the last three years and see how it all come together. The good and the mistakes. I that time we have had 3 presidents and how many coaches?
That was then and this is now. Let’s hope for the best going forward.

jrodmc @ 9/18/2020 10:27 AM
It's crazy that graphic ESPN had on Bam. It's a -20 swing with him off the floor. D-fence!
Would be nice to see Bam slap the living shit out of that LeGM spin move a few times in the Finals, if it happens...

Not much of a Heat fan, but it's hard not to root for Butler.

How did JR Smith survive over there?

I’d love Dragic. He’s always been one of my favorite PGs since his days at the Suns but you really think he’d come? It seems like Miami will do everything to keep him on for next season.
