Ray: "BTW, knicks picked up 4th year option on Frank. Be cool"
Knicks1248: "I want stars, yeah, stars, lot of stars, not Fiz, Fiz not a star, I want Stars......

The New York Knicks are exercising their 2020-21 team option on point guard Frank Ntilikina worth $6.3 million, sources told The Athletic's Shams Charania.

More to come.

I was wrong, and I hope he doesn't make them regret it

We might still trade him.

It would have been pretty dumb not to pick up the option. Perry should at least be given the benefit of the doubt when it comes to making basic decisions.

I like Perry. Hate that KP blew up but time will tell on where that responsibility lies. Everything else I am on board with, and he's really made some nice pickups.

I also believe he's very chemistry focused, which is why he clearly leans to the familiar with guys like Payton and Mario. Well see.

I am rooting wildly for these two AND Elf to play really well. Nothing will improve this team faster than good PG play.

For what it’s worth, Dejounte Murray of the Spurs (bad knee and all) just got a 4 year $64m deal. That’s basically what Ntilikina would be worth if he could shoot 40% from the field. Which he can’t yet.

Bet hedging.

Imagine a player who when shot is not falling finds other ways to contribute and does. How can a knick fan NOT be a fan of his?
This kids can shoot. We have not seen it in the NBA but they see it in practice? Team tells him to keep shooting.
The process is he'll improve. How much? Don't know.

A player that is pleasure to watch not shooting.

Progressing the way he has doesn't cut it, he'd better be improving way faster than he has.

Not hedging. He is more valuable as a trading chip with the extension. We did not make a blood oath commitment to the kid. He still might be third string and at some point his agent might see a path that gives him minutes on another team.

I have no idea how Fiz gives minutes to Payton-Smith-Frank. If I'm hedging, whats my bet?
