I don't remember much about his tenure with the Knicks, but my uncle always groaned when his name was mentioned. In the article it says he was responsible for the Starks signing. Makes sense, tho I always credited Riley for some reason. He was also responsible for the Pitino firing. Anyone else have memories to share about the Bianchi era?

RIP. I don’t think he fired Patino he left for Kentucky. Known for taking Strickland when he had Jackson already. Traded Strickland to Spurs for Cheeks.

I remember that he(Bianchi) didn’t approve of the style Pitino was playing. The constant pressure and picking up full count he didn’t think was sustainable at the pro level.
