Things looking really good for a top 3 pick.
Discuss.
Where's my boy Marv aka the 8 seed Stan.
yeah have fun in your tank thread. guess you’ve been in a coma for a few months.
We got lucky to even get a top 3 pick last Summer. Tanking should be the last thing on our minds.
Someone should go ahead and make a 2020-21 tank thread, a 2021-22 tank thread, a 2022-23 tank thread and so on.
And I've been saying it, and been attacked on this forum, but supporting the Knicks as long as James Dolan owns them is the definition of insanity.
No draft pick, no free agent, no coach, no GM, nothing can save this team from James Dolan. "But he doesnt get involved! He has stayed away!" Yeah keep convincing yourself of all of that, as this team doesn't scratch 25 wins for the next decade.

I got you man.
Well, if we can get a solid pg, this team can be decent. That is the primary thing we are missing.

Hi, 2013 and 54 wins said to say hello. You know another definition of insanity? Ignoring the past and only focusing on the terrible present.

Buy a ticket on the front runner bus and go enjoy those cheap seats in the Barklays. Actually, I've read that the Sixer's ownership are freaking geniuses. Maybe that will work out better for you.
It's just our luck that we will probably have the worst record two straight years AFTER the lottery reformatting. Even with the worst record getting a top 3 pick is 52%... basically a coin flip.
RJ with 21, 9 and 6 on 50% with a loss.
Textbook tank night boys.
Man, talking about tank in the post-tank era is sad.
Knox and Frank is nowhere near enough what RJ needs in terms of putting young talent around him.
Get Edwards, Anthony or Wiseman and we can think about tank threads stopping.
if Mitch is a starting caliber center and if RJ can handle the point... I am starting to warm up to the idea of drafting Anthony Edwards. If not, give me Wiseman.
can we rename this thread "idiots who were sure the knicks had zion in the tank"

I think it is great we missed on Zion.
We would be 0-10 by now and Zion will be considered done.
Instead we have Barrett balling and shows some sustainable promise.
Getting top 5 pick is great regardless it is 1st or 5th.
The chances get a good rotation player and asset are high.
And this all team can get from draft - chances.
This team is not going anywhere above 25-30 win so why not to have 15-20 and make use of the opportunity?
I'm on board for Cole Anthony.

Great post.
Not sure why people assume tanking is only for the #1 pick.
Got a hell of a player at 3 and I'm ready for another one.

Edwards leading early projections.

It is natural for fans to crave for fast progress of bellowed team. Human nature.
But if owner, FO, and coaching stuff acting based on this it's a disaster.
Yes, miracles happened, but very rare and professionals are not counting on miracles.
Childish Knicks owner get abused by carrier bureaucrats and con artists over and over again and NY fans empowered this people by impatience and ignorance.
Hopefully we have better people around the team. May be not the best bbal professionals but at least more honest and reasonable.
One can hope...
