Morris definitely forced the action on that play and on the previous play as well....You could see plays like this coming from the summer when he reneged on the Spurs and joined the Knicks. On the Spurs, he's a number 3 option, here, he's a number 1 option. That, and the money was motivating factors I'm sure. Expect more of this as the season prolongs.

While the fck it attitude is nice. The goal shouldn't be to install more selfishness. It should be to have the whole team fall in line to move the ball to get the best shot possible no matter who is taking it. Players shouldn't be fighting for shot attempts which the player who proves to be the most selfish wins. Frank shouldn't have to take matters into his own hands because his teammates are to selfish. That's not a culture that will produce consistent long term results.
Steph, harden and kyrie change the entire landscape of today's point guards(ironically they both were key pieces in their championship titles).

I agree with this. “F’ it attitude” is just Fizdale trying to take credit and get in on the Ntlikina bandwagon. The handling of Ntlikina by Fizdale was negligence and grounds for firing.

I think the reference to the fck it attitude is referring to playing instinctively, with confidence and aggression. Not overthinking it or being tentative. I don’t think anyone is suggesting Frank be selfish.

He improved his handle enough to be able to capitalize this season.
This season his "lack of aggression" has mostly been due to following the coaches game plan who had limited faith in his offensive ability to start. Which is probably why he felt the need to have the meeting in the first place(basically begging coach to put the ball in his hands somewhat as well). As Fiz has installed more PG friendly sets, Franks aggression has started to "rise".
It needs to be identified with the last gm vs the 76ers as a prime example. When Frank became "passive" was due to the sets that Fiz wanted played. Frank scored 9 points in the 3rd only to get practically frozen out in the 4th. Now granted even with that its up to Morris and Randle to make plays. Which could be adjusted to creating 2 man games with the PG if they so choose to do. Fiz gives Morris and Randle the freedom to make these calls as his features. So his Iso calls aren't necessarily go iso and look to score all the time. That's just what they choose to do with the ball when its crunch time.
Frank's aggression is more at the hands of Fiz than Frank. Any other path is messy.

Morris definitely forced the action on that play and on the previous play as well....You could see plays like this coming from the summer when he reneged on the Spurs and joined the Knicks. On the Spurs, he's a number 3 option, here, he's a number 1 option. That, and the money was motivating factors I'm sure. Expect more of this as the season prolongs.
Fiz mos def should have called a time-out on the play before the 1 on 3 fastbreak to organize a play (the pick and roll was working from the top of the key and the sidelines). But, in the end, the better team usually clamps down on the D during the last 5 minutes which is what Philly did.

While the fck it attitude is nice. The goal shouldn't be to install more selfishness. It should be to have the whole team fall in line to move the ball to get the best shot possible no matter who is taking it. Players shouldn't be fighting for shot attempts which the player who proves to be the most selfish wins. Frank shouldn't have to take matters into his own hands because his teammates are to selfish. That's not a culture that will produce consistent long term results.

So his Iso calls aren't necessarily go iso and look to score all the time. That's just what they choose to do with the ball when its crunch time.

I think Frank has earned Fiz’s faith. I also think he had to earn it. His game took a big jump this year. Management didn’t have faith in Frank either after his first two years.

Main point im trying to say is that Morris and Randle get their features with Fiz approval and will make the calls which so far this season has been selfish decisions to jack up shots over moving the ball, running plays and getting teammates involved. Mostly in the 4th quater.
Frank can either combat this by fighting with Randle for inbounds passes to ensure the ball is in his hands. Then call perferable plays. Or disrupting the ISO attempts (knowing that the low iq selfish decisions are more likely to follow) by running over to the ball, disrupting spacing and demanding that Morris or Randle give him the ball. Or Fiz can actually decide to put the ball in Franks hands and call for the sets which allow him to make the decisoins with the ball. Fiz can stop Randle from taking inbound passes late in the game if it doesnt call for it. Or the alternate is Fiz demanding Morris and Randle if they want to hang on to their featured roles. Start making unselfish decisions resulting in the right plays being made. Because right now they have mostly shown they aren't worthy of being featured.
And if Morris and Randle can't fall in line then they should be moved. Perfect message to install in guys like RJ & Knox etc.

There's a growing trend in the league where PGs are lighting it up every single night, if you don't have that type, your record will be like ours is now..

While the fck it attitude is nice. The goal shouldn't be to install more selfishness. It should be to have the whole team fall in line to move the ball to get the best shot possible no matter who is taking it. Players shouldn't be fighting for shot attempts which the player who proves to be the most selfish wins. Frank shouldn't have to take matters into his own hands because his teammates are to selfish. That's not a culture that will produce consistent long term results.
I think the reference to the fck it attitude is referring to playing instinctively, with confidence and aggression. Not overthinking it or being tentative. I don’t think anyone is suggesting Frank be selfish.
