Knicks · Mitchell Robinson (page 1)

In the month of December he’s averaging 26 mpg, 13 points, 8 rebs, 1.5 blocks and shooting 70% from the field and 65% from the free throw line. As long as his minutes climb a bit more without the major foul issues, this is very encouraging. He needs 2 things; a PG that can pass and to stay out of foul trouble and he can become a borderline allstar very soon. His talent is awesome and we should appreciate when our important pieces are developing. Barrett hopefully gets some more consistency which again will come playing more with Payton which he still isn’t doing much of. But everyone has to be encouraged with what we are seeing with Mitch. He’s a 15 and 10 player once he can stay on the floor for 30 mpg.

somewhere there are 29 other teams with fans thinking why they did not draft this kid!
We think we can’t ever do anything right. Take a moment free from blame or credit and just say “Knicks did well and are developing him nice”. Tis the season where the Mav’s with KP are succeeding and it hurts. Have to take the good.

Mitch and Barrett. Very young, very athletic.

I know the Lakers were planning on taking him at 25 but felt he might slip to 40. Luckily we got him right before at 36

He’d be in NOLA likely this year as part of the Davis trade. For him “LA” is Louisiana!!! Him and Zion on the same court would have been a freak show.

He will leave as a Free Agent if we don't get a real PG in here. A real PG and he becomes a 16 and 12 Monster. However I think we will once again win to many games and lose out on the top talents yet again. I guess we still haven't learned after losing out on Doncic and Young, Towns, and the list goes on

C’mon man, Mav’s traded up and had gumption to get KP by taking on Hardaway also. Luka is a surprise. Young is good but awful defense and you saw they are shyt. Minny is getting better but they have lost 9 in a row in part to injuries. Mitch won’t leave because of PG woes. He will leave if we don’t pay him. Then he would leave!

The Knicks won the fewest games in the nba last year. They can't go back to pre-lottery reform.

Mitch would already be a 16 and 12 monster if he didn’t commit silly fouls and would try to make a jumpshot. Neither of those things have to do with a PG, and a better PG would make him and team much better.

Payton seems to be a great fit for mitch.

Payton getting healthy to come back to run the point for the 2nd unit bench-players .. MitchRob, Portis, Knox, and Dotson were a great move, because Payton leadership in the lineup game after game had the 2nd unit players on the same-page performing better than the Knick starter lineup. The MitchRob & Payton pickNroll are FIRE!

Now! foolish peeps want to put Payton in the starter lineup, when Payton need to keep building chemistry in the 2nd unit players the next 10 to 15 Knicks games to build chemistry Keeper bench-players .. Knox been showing great improvement on both sides of the court having Payton's leadership at the PG.
DSJ should not be put on the court unless Frank or Payton are in the lineup.

the biggest thing for mitch is his fitness
you can tell he's not conditioned enough for battling with the bigs when he runs the floor and is holding his knees trying to catch his breath. he looks winded way too often for someone his age

He is among a small group of players we have who is 100% engaged in the game.
So no wonder he is winded.
Frank, Dot, and RJ are another 3 but even they sometimes take some positions off.
The rest of the crew are not so much...

imagine if fat ball hogging randle wasn't clogging up space for mitch

Randle not there all the time is he? I like what Mitch is doing ex-fiz. He is not getting the ball as high which was uselss because everyone in the building knew he would not take the shot. He needs to establish a midrange which would open things up a bit more.
Glad to See knox back on track a bit. You do have some components of hope:

Mitch inside game and freak defender/rebounder
RJ Slasher and potential elite 3.
Knox stretch 4 sniper and slasher.

The backcourt is abysmal. Payton is not the answer. Fact is, nothong will be "answered" this season. Eitehr we draft our PG or we have to burn an asset or two and get one. But not this year. Frank and Dennis are struggling to play at back up levels.

My hopes are not for panic moves!!! KP set us back two years.
