They guy was a grade A ass but he was super bright attorney educated who had a passion for the game and facilitated great growth for the game and made his owners a ton of money.
Great commish, great job done adn I feel bad he did not live longer to enjoy his retirement. Dude really is to be respected for a job well done!!!

those are some wild numbers. When you think that the games were on tape delay when he first started as commissioner, to presiding over the glorious madness that was The Dream Team, to those numbers right there (I don't really gave Adam Silver credit for that)... I mean, wow. Yeah, he was the commissioner, but i mean he was a lot more than that

Funny from the start was the start of booing of Stern at the draft mostly initiated by jersey wearing pubescent intoxicated knick fans!! The guy was a knick fan.
Would love to know the convo's him and dolan had over the years!!
