Knicks · Knicks consistent lack of shooters (page 1)

It’s so frustrating that in today’s league the Knicks are allergic of the 3pt line. If they aren’t a good team, at least be a modern team. They hoard PGs that can’t shoot and will never grab a Duncan robinson type in the second round or as an undrafted free agent. With Barrett and Robison as the future, they need to specifically target shooters and ball movers. It’s really that simple. Less talented teams can win games if they play hard and can make a ton of threes.

that is exactly what the Nets were doing- I want to say before last year, they were shooting a very high rate of 3pters.

The more you shoot, the more you seem to score and win!

Two problems that stand out with the knicks!!!!!

1. Can't shoot 3 pointers
2. Can't guard 3 pointers

Knicks need two way shooters.

The problem is guys rarely have this combination of skills. And championship teams are soaking them up (Danny Green for example). But I think if we focus on this during the draft and FA, this team will be a lot better than they are today.

I love Danny Green! Would have loved him here, but obviously, he went to a better team.

We absolutely have to find players that can hit the open 3.

And more than 3pt shooting and defending - we just need guys that are skilled - that can pass the ball, that are smart players. I like Barrett, he seems smart and with some skills. Same for Knox, though he can be a knucklehead and make stupid plays.

I've been very disappointed with Wayne Ellington. I'd almost release him, but chances are he lands with an LA team and goes on a stupid tear shooting % wise.

And - we have to get more time for Trier & Dotson. They do seem to be some of the better shooters on the team.

This complimentary players are coming to contenders.
Real pros with value but not a stars are the finishing touches for championship teams.
For current Knicks having them is a waste of time on both sides and so unnecessary.
Getting our own youth to this level will be cool but this usually happening later in player carrier.
So having this kind of players home grown is unlikely.
