Annoying the Pistons pick just ahead of us, they'll block us from getting our preferred PG

Spurs, with the 11th, are looking to move DeRozan as he will opt in and there seems no way they will sign him to the kind of extension he will want. I still like Keldon Johnson on the Spurs roster as well.
The NBPA is pushing for another league wide single use amnesty. Owners have asked for an adjustment to the current tax system. This issue is going to have a pretty big impact on who is available.
Some teams have been hit harder financially during the pandemic than others. The Jazz and the Miller family got steam rolled. The WNBA might be in real danger here as well. The WNBA is a powder keg waiting to happen. It's been losing money for forever. No one watches the games. Many of the players say some pretty tone deaf stupid shit in the media. But if the league cuts it, the PR backlash would be brutal.
This is a pretty ugly draft. There appears to be a wide berth of replacement level wing depth though. The first ten picks in the 2nd round are starting to look more and more valuable.

asking... why did we take him him over Mikal Bridges or SGA?
Haha . play nice though
to be fair, KK's first two years in terms of team turmoil, shifting roles etc has been horrible. One year -- do whatever you want; second year -- let's not play to your stengths and put your weaknesses in high focus
Before we sell him low; let's see what some structure and stability would do.
For the first time in years, i'm not crushed that we didn't land a top 3 pick. Not many if any sure-shot prospects. Next year is the draft that we want to land in the top 3.

Imagine if we get the top 3 pick via Dallas?

I loved those books. It's tough after learning so much about Herbert's beliefs and the way he treated his son, but I can still appreciate the level of detail imagination he put into that series.

I feel like you are pretty spot on with the top picks. Without any trades:
Edwards, Wiseman, LaMelo with top 3 picks.
Chicago has a lot of depth and salary at the 3/4 positions so Deni would be a tough initial fit for a year or 2, he would be behind Otto Porter, Thadd, and Satoranský, and then you have Wendell at the 4. Right now they have Zach, Dunn and Coby White as their PGs with Dunn expiring? Can see Chicago taking a flier on Hayes and letting him marinate off bench for a bit.
I can see CLE going for Deni or Obi. If wins are a priority, Obi even though they have a glut at 4/5.
Alt goes shooting and playmaking off bench. The got Capella and Collins and pass on Onyeka
No idea what Detroit does but Onyeka or Okoro or Obi? All the O's. Onyeka
1. Minnesota
2. Golden State
3. Charlotte
4. Chicago - Hayes
5. Cleveland - Deni
6. Atlanta - Haliburton
7. Detroit - Onyeka
8. New York - ????

Rumors are the Bulls really like Deni..... plus none of their SF’s are the long term fit.
I keep looking at teams and I think if there is any team that bites on a trade with the warriors it’s the Pistons. Pistons can absorb Wiggins, or just trade Kennard for Looney and LaMelo and the warriors could get Okoro or Vessel who I think fits way more what they want.
I also feel the Hornets take Wiseman, they wanted Drummond last year and they really have a need at center.
I read a few places fans like Hayes way better than most scouts do and I see him falling into the late lottery.
Haliburton is exactly what the hawks want to put around Young.
Kira is the 3rd PG in this draft in my opinion and might have the most upside. He can create in the half court and we need that, a lot. People say he might fall, but with the Suns picking right after us I don’t think the knicks should take that chance.
Holy Crap! It just dawned on me. Fucking Michael Jordan still giving us pain. Charlotte and Chicago jumping over the Knicks to move us from 6 to 8. Grrrrrr.
Just can't wait until we're good again so we can shove it back in the faces of all those people mocking us over the fricking lottery (like we have any control over it- does any other team get laughed at for falling in the lottery?)- DeAaron Fox, Kanter, Dinwiddie and co. Wouldn't even mind if they said anything funny, but they literally just post a twitter of laughter and somehow that's some sort of hilarious quip. Can't wait til we can kick their asses!

Yeah you might be right on Deni and Chicago, Porter probably there for another year and then Thadd and Satoransky will be gone a year later. In that case I see Obi or Onyeka to CLE, probably Toppin.
If somehow Detroit takes Okoro, Onyeka would be available at 8 and I'd guess that Knicks would think long and hard about taking him.

Add Kellerman to that list. That smug sumbitch should stick to boxing.

Idk I think that Oneyeka, Precious, J Smith, and Paul Reed are so close together skill wise you just want to try and grab whoever drops to 27.
These two tweets made me laugh:
The virtual thing was very awkward. They all looked tone deaf. Not much was at stake either.
Trade value not high for picks either.
Wolves - Edwards
Warriors - Lamelo (to trade)
Hornets - Wiseman
Bulls - Devi
Cavs - Obi
Hawks - Haliburton
Pistons - Hayes
Knicks - Kira
Based on the rumors there is a lot of smoke that Detroit likes Hayes and his 3pt shooting ability fits Casey's system that uses 3's. Plus there is a strong French connection/scouting there.
I still think the Knicks pick Kira (if they are smart). This is the strongest PG draft since 2009 and he is the clear 4th and possibly 3rd best PG.
I would still like to see if they can move up from #27 into the late teens.

Interesting draft. Would mean Onyeka is still on the board at #8. I wonder if GS would engage NY at this point... with GS's desire to go after Giannis aside.
For the Knicks, it would absolutely mean taking on Wiggins and including #27, #38 going to GS. Portis (for his terminated contract), Bullock/Ellington for bench shooting and depth going to GS. GS gets close to luxury line?
LaMelo, RJ, Wiggins, ?, Mitch
San Antonio and Detroit are talking now about flipping positions.
Couple of teams , including Warriors to move back, talking to Cavs to get in front of Atlanta. What the Hawks do will likely swing the 2nd Tier of the draft.
Warriors talking to Wizards (Beal)
Growing buzz on Amar Sylla as a stash developmental prospect. Guy is really raw but some interesting tools there.
Busiest phone line is in Philly ( their stash of 2nd rounders)
Hearing more and more things right now connecting Knicks to Maxey

Thanks! Wonder who the Spurs are after? Killian Hayes? Why would Detroit move down though as they need a PG desperately.
If Warriors want to move down but stay in front of Atlanta, then that would suggest they want... Haliburton? (the annoying thing is if we hadn't won that last game vs Atlanta we would be ahead of them in the draft order).
I'm interested in Maxey, but like I said with KP we'll have the inside scoop.
