All 3 can shoot. All have nba bodies. While this is not a fancy draft— it’s a team building draft.
I like the idea of Nnaji but concerned about investing a first round pick in a center when we have Robinson. I'd still consider it though.

So, just to sum up where we're at according to recent reports:
Knicks are trading up to snag LaMelo Knicks are trading down to land Cole Anthony Knicks have no interest in Cole Anthony even with our second pick Knicks absolutely want Okoro- if he's there, they'll draft him Knicks absolutely want Okongwu- if he's there, they'll draft him Knicks absolutely want Patrick Williams- if he's there, they'll draft him Knicks absolutely want Toppin- if he's there, they'll draft him Knicks are high on Kira Lewis Knicks are high on Hayes Knicks are high on Wiseman Knicks are high on Vassell Knicks are high on Deni Knicks are high on Maxey Knicks are high RJ Hampton

For me, this is a good sign

Some Hal workout clips. He looked comfortable drive and pulling. The three stills looks suspect because of the slow release. It was easy to chase him off the line and even when he shot, it took a while to leave his hands. He obviously wasn't playing seriously, but I would have liked to see an improvement on his long distance shooting.

If the knicks maintain the slow build approach, the knicks are in a prime position with 3 picks in the draft to solidify their bench.i hope scot perry takes a back seat and Perrin take the lead on this years draft, if they get 3 reliable players in the draft it will be a good start in the offseason.

This is what I am hoping for. I want to build from the draft. No more trading away picks. Do your job and select the best players for your system. San Antonio and Boston has been doing this for awhile and they have been successful.

Hmmmm. I really want Vassell for our 8th pick assuming the top 5 goes in order. That Camby looking jump shot makes me go ..... Hmmmmmm.
I don’t like Vessell— not at 8.
Go look at Glenn rice shoot then Aaron Nesmith
I have been high on Vassell but i'll admit this video is concerning. I'm slowing shifting over to Maxey, Lewis, and Nesmith as preferred options. All 3 have very wide draft ranges but that's ok.
There's really no ideal prospect. I like Nesmith because he's got that elite shooting skill, but i'm concerned about the small sample size. Lewis has a nice package with elite speed, but i'm concerned about a small guard in today's game. And Maxey has the most upside I think, but his game screams more 6th man than starter because of his lack of position. But his upside is best given his 2-way talent.

What the hell was that jumper. Absolutely not.

It's like when I saw that video of Toppin's defense- once you see such horrors, you can't forget them!

So why are these guys so high in mock drafts?
martin@ 10/19/2020 12:46 PM
Over the past week or so I've moved my personal draft preference to Okoro despite the lack of shooting at this stage. Call it the Jimmy Butler effect. Okoro just has the body, footwork, and physicality on top of the gym rat engine. I hope they get him and then we will all find pleasure in watching Okoro/RJ physically overmatch guys on both ends.
I'm also still convinced Knicks make a move for a PG via trade or sign one regardless of what they do in draft.
