A couple things to note about Kira Lewis:
- He's up to 180 lbs, so 6'3 180 with a 6'6 wingspan is very solid
- He was in the 89th percentile for spot up shooting
- He was 57% from the corners
He's a very, very good fit for what the goals of this coaching staff seem to be
He's a PG that can clearly play on or off the ball

I still like Cole over Kira, but I can see why people are enamored. If you trade for another vet, the pick makes sense. It'll give him more time to develop his body and learn the game. He's weak in the halfcourt and needs time. TBH, I think Hayes and Ball, ifbhe has a massive drop, are the only PGs I'd grab with pick #8.

Yeah i don't know if Lewis is the right pick, but for the reason above he makes sense. There are no sure things and no obvious picks, so I tend to prefer prospects with an easy-to-project role in the NBA. As much as I like Maxey and Cole, I tend to wonder about their role in the NBA as a starter. Lewis, Haliburton, Hayes, Vassell, and Nesmith are guys who have easy to define roles with likely upsides as above average starters. Lewis, Haliburton, and Hayes can all be starting PGs who can play on or off the ball. Vassell and Nesmith are easy plug and play 3&D wings. Maxey and Anthony have equal (or even better) upside, but their NBA roles are a big question mark.
Halliburton or Hayes if they're there at #8.
Okoro reminds me of Jimmy Butler/Caron Butler.
Nesmith reminds me of Cuttino Mobley.

Remember, Cutino had enough ball skills to play spot minutes at PG. Plus, he was a good defender. I'm not sure if he'll get there, but I think Nesmith's ceiling is Buddy Heild.

Giving up RJ to get LaMelo or Mitch for Wiseman doesnt change anything for the knick they will still end up with 2 potential cornerstones. They need to add a cornerstone not replace one. Atleast they already know what they have in RJ and Mitch.
Id rather for them to trade down and get extra draft assets. If they move up, just move up to the late teens from the 27th pick and get Maxey.
Thinking back to the 2016 draft when Toronto had the 9 (Poltl) and 27 (Siakam)
Hoping the Knicks are paying as much attention to their 27 slot. Marquese Chriss was the 8 pick that year (which had a lot of duds)
I’ve said it many times, MRobs talent and potential is noteworthy and should not be traded.
But his window of two years on that contract makes this a very valuable asset and if leveraged properly could be a franchise changer as an trade asset.
Either way is a very nice thing. Please its all about what comes back in return. Without that nobody gets excited!

True but I am looking more at just his style. He seems very smooth. Cat was best at the SG/SF spot. I never viewed him as more than an average defender. Maybe Allan Houston is a closer comp but I don't think Nesmith is the pure shooter Allan was.

Yes Woodard is intriguing. And I’ll still say Quickley is a great option. He’s clearly one of the best shooters in the draft and with his 6’10 wingspan he should be a solid defender at both guard spots.
