Rose is a big name guy that will double down on big name promises. No way he didn't promise Dolan he can deliver some combination of Towns, Russell, Booker, etc.
First round draft picks will be made fair game again. Hopefully they don't give them out like candy. Then again, our rebuilding thru picks has not worked so far, and i'm sure Dolan sees this. 2017 and 2018 we clearly made the wrong first round choices. We were more successful in the second round with Dotson and Robinson. 2019 was a no-brainer drafting Barrett. Zero thought to be put into it. Due diligence was just that.
So in the last 3 years of what would be considered traditional building through the draft, we have an obvious building block in Barrett and arguably our next best prospects were both found in the 2nd round. You know Dolan is looking at that and saying there's no way he can hire anyone that can beat Memphis, Atlanta, Phoenix, OKC, etc at this rebuilding thing. We are too far behind the 8-ball. So get ready to see the obvious big names dominating the media attention to come to the Knicks.

I agree, but we know how these press conferences go. He will win it with generic talk about building the culture, strong work ethic, building relationships around the league and turning the Knicks into a winner. We know how these things go. You don't hire the biggest power broker in the league who represents everyone just to talk about building thru the draft.
