that pick has great potential. There are tons of guys who fall for various reason but can simply play. When its your second pick in the draft it really lets you just find a good player.
And right now Knicks got #5, #25 and #36.

That's not bad at all. Some quick targets for me:

5- Cole Anthony or Haliburton
25- Nwora/Cassius Stanley/Saddiq Bey/Nesmith
36- Isaiah Joe/Tillie/Wesson

Yup. Looking pretty good. We have these I year vets too that should open up the roster.

Sweet, Clips lose again, they're only 6-4 their last 10 games

Lets hope the Clips load manage Kwahi (and PG) to end the season That could work out nicely for us.

important game- Clips lost to Boston and PG went out with a hamstring injury. Just to show the significance of this:

23) Miami: 35-19
24) Utah: 36-18
25) Clips: 37-18
26) Denver: 38-17
27) Boston: 38-16

The clips pick is important as there are a few teams that could end up above us in the top of the 1st round, that already have a PG, and so might be open to slightly trading down (our first plus the clips) so we can land LaMelo Ball

Because I get depressed every time I read the mock drafts top 10 scouting reports, and am deluding myself that he has the best chance at being a good player

I am still confused as to why we wouldn't have taken Kuzma and Green in a deal instead of what we got.

Green is tradeable next season and a nice piece at the 2 and actually has won championships. Kuzma has real value if you play him at the four position. With a lineup of Payton, Green, Barrett, Kuzma and Randle it would have boosted Kuzma's trade value. At $2MM locked in for another year, he's a great asset to attach to someone to move up in the draft.

There are teams that are as inept as the Knicks. If you call the Kings could you put together a package for Buddy Hield? Would the Suns have been open to a Bridges / Kuz swap? Memphis or OKC looking to add additional scoring pieces to there core.

I just feel like we never get creative ever. Philly gave away Fultz for nothing last year. We sign four power forwards when the entire league is moving away from

Fultz was a reclamation project and a bargain because he really was awful. To land the 20-year-old Fultz, the Magic traded guard Jonathon Simmons, a protected first-round pick (top-20 protected in the 2020 NBA Draft) and a second-round selection in 2019 June draft. Danny Green will make 15mm next season. With Bullock and RJ I think that is redundant. To assume he is tradable might be a stretch. I like Danny Green, but winning chips does not make him a "leader". He might be just a good guy. Nothong wrong with that but it does change the narrative to make your point. Jut like "we could trade him for.........."
Danny Green has played along side some good players as a find role player. Is he worth the price for Kuzma? Now we have two more players at the three.
I assume when we make these assumptions we are throwing in the towel on Knox after a season and a half. Im trying to be open minded and not think like a fan about knox. I read his defensive play is picking up and his finishing at the rim is also better. His minutes are down but knicks wins are up compared to last year.
I won't cry if he is gone, but I won't throw him away emotionally either. Fan patience is not the same as FO has to be.

That's a tough ending to swallow when you are talking about trading FOR Kuz to be your PF while also having Randle on roster.

Perhaps the Lakers just didn't want to do it?

MS @ 2/15/2020 12:52 PM
Kuzma is simply a trading piece to get a better asset. I wouldn’t build around him long term. Randle to the 5 for the rest of the year and maximize both their values.

My point is there are a lot of franchises that make the wrong decisions constantly the Knicks being one of them. Three that come to mind are the Suns, Kings and Timberwolves. (Green can he moved, much like THJR could have been moved to Dallas for Wes Matthews last year. If he can’t he expires on 2021 and RJ plays his natural position the 3.)

I’m willing to bet that Kuz would have been appealing to put next two Ayton or Towns. They have been drafting in the lottery for years and are sick of waiting. My point was we could have done better with him in a trade in the offseason than the Clippers pick.

Haven’t seen a player this enthusiastic to be a Knick since Steve Francis!

Speaking of which, it’s good to see he looks well again- last I’d seen of him were those photos where he looked in a bad way, good to hear he’s got his life back on track:

I'm excited about him. Seems like he's an intangibiles type of guy that just does something for a team. He was an important part of Portlands playoff teams and he started on the Clippers depite only averaging 5.5 ppg. He's got to be doing something well to start on one of the top teams in the league.

I think it's cool we have Brookyln and Queens represented in Taj and Harkless. Might bring some real Pride back to the Knicks. Might rub off on young guys about being Knicks. You never know what those two might do to try to resurrect the Knicks to their glory days. Maybe, who knows? Added motivation by two players who always dreamed of playing at Home.

GT2AM @ 2/21/2020 12:04 AM
Are we getting Moe Harkless at the pefect time?
Interesting article about Moe Harkless mid season splits.

"Is 'Playoff Moe' Harkless just a myth?"

Yep, hopefully Marcus and Reggie Jackson disrupt their chemistry for they next chunk of games (they're 5-5 their last 10), here's the latest tankathon pick order:

20) OKC 34-22
21) Sixers 35-22
22) Jazz 36-20
23) Heat 36-20
24) Rockets 36-20
25) Clippers 37-19
