Invincible goes from basic storyline to off the rails crazy without warning. It's a ride!

Yo! I just watched the 1st episode of Invincible. That was crazy!

By the way...almost all the voice actors are from "The Walking Dead". It figures since the writer of the comics is the writer for "The Walking Dead"

It gets crazier. I hope it get renewed. They're also planning a movie

Live Action Movie? That would be awesome!

Yeah, Seth Rogen is behind the show and movie development. Can't imagine it topping the animated show, but I'm hype. The voice cast for the show is too notch. JK Simmons, Sandra Oh, Zazi Beets, Masherla Ali, Walt Goggins, Clancy Brown...the last episode had Carl from Family Matters 🤣

Did you notice the name of the high school?

No, but I'll look out for it in the rewatch.

Goddam! The last episode was bonkers! Fastest 49 min ever.

Wow....even if you knew what was coming. Poor Mark, it's gonna be painful to hear the truth. Also, Amber is way more basic than I thought. On to the next one.

The main lead Tatiana Maslany did a fantastic job. Highly recommend.

I enjoyed the first couple of seasons, but not so much the last couple- she was indeed great, isn't she playing She-Hulk in the new Disney Plus series?

1) Mortal Kombat sucked donkey d!(k besides a couple of fighting scenes that were really cool... but it was terrible overall.

2) Loved Falcon and the Winter Soldier.

3) For any animal lovers, I highly recommend Secrets of the Whales on Disney+. Really cool 4 episode series that talks about whale culture. Loved it.

I just watched it. If you like the video game then you will like the movie. The fighting scenes were pretty good. The actor for Sub-Zero is one of the actors in "Warrior" cable series in Cinemax but is now showing in HBO Max.

I liked it. However, I love martial arts movies so there is that.

By the way, if you guys are looking for a really good martial arts movie, go check out "Flash Point". Donnie Yen is the man.

Scorpian and Sub Zero were the only things I liked about it. I love their characters. It just happened to to have a terrible plot and overall bad story telling, and it was rushed. There definitely were a couple of very cool scenes though.

One good thing.... I thought the Sonya Blade in this one was wasaaaaay better than the first one.

The first couple of episodes were a tough watch for me. But last week’s episode has me looking forward to what’s next!

I’ve also been watching The Expanse every week. Now that this season is complete, I’m going to have to find something else to watch. I feel like they peaked in season two, but I still enjoyed every season so far.

Season 2 was my favorite also, but all the seasons have been strong. But this past season is game changer. So many interesting, coherent plot threads. Can't be wrapped up in a final season.

Expanse might be the best sci-fi EVER. I binged 1-3. When 4 came out I binged 1-3 again. When 5 came out I binged 1-4 again. I think 3 is my favorite. Prax... Amos "You're not that guy. I am that guy" SO PHUCKING GOOD.

Using real science in space combat and travel is so good. I love the tech

Too funny, was just talking with my dad yesterday about a new series that we could both start watching so we could chat over it and The Expanse came up for both of us because of what others have said in this thread.... and I'm glad you have reinforced it and can't wait to start

I would say the first season is tough for some because there are so many plots and story lines its tough to sort out what you are supposed to care about. Its just a lot to take in. However that does get sorted and you get so many great things with this show. Amazing character arcs and the science is great. Starting with the basic understanding that space battle is terrifying and just how everything makes sense. Probably 90% of my favorite female fictional characters come from the Expanse.

And BigDaddyG... Frankie Adams "Bobbie"

Its a YES for me

I did struggle with the first season, but now am more than halfway through season 2 and its pretty plain sailing-faster pace, much easier to understand what's happening (and season 1 makes more sense), definitely worth sticking with. It looks great too

After finishing the last Star Trek Discovery..I started Star Trek Enterprise. It was OK but I gave up on it after 3 episodes.

So I started "The Expanse". Season 1 was kinda slow and you guys were right. It's a world building season. Season 2 and Season 3 are awesome. I can't stop watching it. My favorite character right now is Chrisjen. That old lady is smart and fearless. Bobbie is awesome. I also love the Roci crew.

You made the right call on Enterprise- absolute trash, it sunk the franchise for over a decade!

I’m still enjoying The Expanse too (I watch one ep a week so am still back on season 2), glad I stuck with it through the first season- thanks to everyone who recommended it!

I haven't read the books, but the writers are almost finished with the series. I think one of them was GRRM's assistant for a while. I'm sure he learned his lesson his lesson from what happened to the Game of Thrones television series.

Finished the whole series. This has got to be one of the best scifi shows I have ever watched. The writing, the characters, the believable science....well science fiction wise.

For my next show...I am trying to get back to the "Man in the High Castle". I kinda got away from it in the middle of Season 3. I like the show but it's like a slow burn so sometimes I kinda lose interest.

Question. "Battlestar Galactica" Should I put this on my next to watch?

I loved that show when it was on, and it’s mainly excellent, but then last episode really made me turn against the show- it ruined it for me! It’s a great ride but the destination felt like such a con, even the mid season finale of the last season would have been a better ending for the show. Definitely the most disappointing series finale of all time for me, mainly because of how much I used to like the show.

It’s quite similar to Voyager, but with the scenario followed through (what happens with lack of easy access to repairs and resources, internal crew politics and tensions, do you keep trying to find home or give up and make the most of things?), good acting and characters, gritty, flawed people, ahead of it’s time for sci fi shows (you can see the influence on the expanse)

I just passed the Season 4 mid season finale. I see what you mean. These characters are pissing me off. I can't believe what they did to Dee. What a tortured character.

The voice acting is it what did it for me. I've reached that episode in the comics, but J.K Simmons acting took it to another level. It made the inner conflict more palpable. They've signed off for season two and three so I'm hyped.

I totally agree. JK Simmons has a very distinct voice but his performance has me believing that he is omniman. Steven Yeun is also fantastic. Same with walton higgins.

Let me know what you think of the ending! By the way, did you think the big reveal of the Cylon sleeper agents was really random- felt like they just selected them at random rather than having a master plan!

I think 2 of them was definitely a head scratcher. Saul and then his wife was kinda telegraphed. The president aide kinda made sense but they didn't give enough back story.

Why I lost interest in the show. Remember the jingle "Im a pepper...you're a pepper"? Felt like that with Cylons.

I finished BSG. I don't think I will watch "The
Plan". Ending was kinda meh. Big battle was a little weird. They keep flip flopping boomer. It was a very disappointing end to an otherwise quality show.

It's one of the worst endings of a show for me- ***** SPOILERS *****. was pretty clear they had no master plan and were making it up as they went along. The opera house vision explanation- absolute anti-climax. Hey how did she come back from the dead?- just disappears before it can be explained. Now suddenly there’s a real god- god did everything that we couldn’t figure out how to answer after setting it up! Now we’re suddenly against technology and are going to destroy it all and integrate ourselves with a bunch of cave men and women. Just complete trash! Made worse by the fact it was such a good show before then.

Like I said, I prefer the ending to be the midseason finale

Yup. I really didn't want to get in to it so I don't spoil it for anyone. Anywho....That whole starbuck is an angel thing is just horseshit. How about saying Hera was Eve? I was like...huh?
