Have that album. A girl I dated was a big fan. I thought it was OK, but too mood specific and didn't rock hard enough for me to play it consistently.

I just finished Jupiters Legacy and it's not bad. Far from perfect and I'm not the biggest of the original comic book writer's work, but it worked. This might be another case where the TV show does a better job of expressing the vehicle's themes than the book. I never finished Jupiters Legacy or Invincible (I do regret not finishing Invincible), but I'd rank books 1)Invincible 2) The Boys 3) Jupiters Legacy. I'd rank the TV shows 1)The Boys 2) Invincible (so far) 3) Jupiters Legacy. Also, found the strength to muddle through the second half of Mortal Kombat. Movie could've been decent.

The Knicks have been a big part of how I’ve spent my exile. What great timing for the basketball gods to smile upon us!

I’m guessing it has been a huge lift for many of us.

Heck, basketball even cured the winter blues!

Yeah...A big boost after the hell 2020 was.

And kudos to Martin for this site. It’s one of my longest relationships.

And Andrew!

Adult Swim animated "Mr. Pickles" is some messed up stuff. Short dose 11 min vignette per episonde. Caught the first few and last. Hard to describe. My son showed it to me and it appealed to ym inner teen self. Was appauled by Mrs Nalod inner adult. Yeah, its pretty out there. After a few it kind of loses its luster.

I just finished watching "The Suicide Squad". Awesome! Fun movie. This is what I thought the first one was going to be. James Gunn is a terrific movie maker.

Is this the not-basketball thread?

Dexter season 9 starts Sunday.

Could be awesome, or a big letdown. The only certainty is that it will be better than season 8.

I’m looking forward to the new intro.

Ozark and Narcos will begin it's final seasons this month NETFLIX

New Dexter? I was into that but I think I bailed midway in the John Lithgow season. Got redundant.
Hated the story line about his Dexters family thing when he got married.
If done well and a bit reboot I can just pick up with new episodes if a fresh take? I liked the actors and the premise.

Im doing Money Heist on netflix as my latest binge. “Only 13” more episodes until im finished. LOL
Not “Oscar” worthy but it holds me.
Did a rewatch of recommended Sopranos as prerequisite to “Many Saints of Newark”. It just left HBO but it was a good one. Gandlefini’s kid looks like a young John Cusak than a young tony soprano but it was well done.
Im looking forward to sitting thru DUNE some time this weekend. still too squimish to got to a movie theatre (covid) as I have a big family event coming up and we all have to be careful! The James Bond movie is tempting! Ill wait a few weeks!

Sounds like you bailed at the wrong time. In the interest of being spoiler-free, I’ll say nothing else.

As far as Sunday… it’s not a series reboot. But it is a Dexter Morgan reboot. Again, I ain’t saying nothing else.

I see David Chase has finally confirmed that the ending of the Sopranos meant- I'm pretty sure that's what everyone presumed right? (for those who re-watched or discovered The Sopranos during lockdown):

Saw Dune and liked it. Not a perfect movie, but entertaining. I have read all of Frank Herbert's Dune books and his son's follow-ups. I've also watched the Syfy miniseries and the Lynch movie version, so I might be biased. But I think it's solid.
Many Saints didn't get the greatest reviews, but I thought it was good. Plot and pacing got a little wonky at times, but the casting was top notch.
I'll binge Dexter at some point, but not sure what to expect. The series always seemed to follow up a great season with a meh one

{Spoiler alert} I found out what happend to wife before so it was a bummer. First season, an the Jimmy smits season was good. The whole vigilante thing was satisfying. Perhaps I should pick it up. Lithgow is a good actor but he was a bit over the top.

Haven't been through much of the thread but has anyone seen IT Crowd? It was a British comedy. Brilliant imo. Taken from a very classic episode. Watch them in order, less than 6 minutes in total.
BTW - Seeing "Lost" on the first page here, gave me an idea though! lol And I forgot most of the episodes in IT Crowd as well, benefit of not having a great memory with film.

The Expanse Season 6 Episode 1 just started. Woohoo!

It was pretty action packed. I'm a little disappointed knowing this is the final season and that there's still more story to go, but this season is starting boffbhot

Who’s planning to see Spider-Man in theaters? I think the holidays and this movie in particular are going to result in huge covid spikes.

But I don’t think this one will be streaming any time soon. Avoiding spoilers is going to be impossible.

A masterpiece as far as these type of movies go. Highly recommend.
