Finally a team got pick 1 in Ny and we’re able to get a generational type pick
In Sabrina Ionescu. This is especially exciting for the tri state areas young females to have such a great great player/ role model play for their team. This would be the equivilant of the Knicks getting LeBron James
Yeah, good things happened when Dolan sells the team.

I was going to say the same thing. We now have proof that once Dolan sells a team they immediately become better.

Assumption is the mother of all f’ ups.

We don’t trust Dolan to run the team, make the proper hires, develop a proper relationship with the media/fans, put out a good product, put out a product that’s affordable, keep his fingers out of the basketball peoples’ work... but you’re going to assume he’ll sell the team to someone that’s better than him as if every candidate will be better than him? Be careful what you wish for my friend.

Whose worst than Dolan? This isn’t politics it’s sports. Dolan being so bad after 20 years is a joke. I would take my chances, gladly!

No 20 years of recreating the same exact f’ ups is the mother of all f’ ups.
I like the way WNBA uses a 2 year win loss record to determine odds. 42% for worst team.
Just 12 teams in the league. Thought there were more.
They took 5 player in the first 17 pick. The traded all star Tina Charles.
There were 3 players drafted who come from Germany. Dallas took 2. Maybe there are trying to be the “Dallas Dirks”?
I don’t watch a lot of WNBA but I do enjoy the women’s game when I do. I went to the Women’s ACC championship game up in Greensboro and it was a great game. One of the best basketball games I ever watched was 2006 women’s final Maryland vs Duke that went to over time. I had all the drama and last second heroics. I had no preference who won but for sure hated anyone had to lose that game.
Let’s hope Ionescu lives up to the hype. As for Dolan selling the team giving it good fortune I’d venture to say one might look at the history of the Liberty. The had 6 ist place finishes and lost 4 times in the finals. This was very early in the leagues history. But.......They were owned by MSG and Dolan of course.

You really think Dolan is the worst businessman of all time? There is always someone better than everyone and there is always someone worse.

totally agree briggy, i'm psyched for her (and not just because of my thing for tall females
)
i've been to liberty games, and it's a fantastic bball fan experience. far surpassed a lot of rotten knick game experiences i've had over the last couple of decades (excepting of course the game you treated us all to

).
Haven been a huge fan of women’s basketball dating back to our great Branford 84 team. Back when we were in college I was friends with a younger aged Geno and played pick up basketball with him all the time. Great great great guy. And I’ve really grown up with the UConn system which probably is the 1-2 sports dynasties of all time. UConn women’s basketball community is a united experience. It’s a great role model for sports and community — and incredible basketball. In some ways female sports are better than men’s imho.
Now I’m an embedded ct sun fan by Geography but always a secondary Liberty fan and so excited about this! Cant wait to watch the Liberty and excited for the younger people of New York especially who will have a hero to root for missing in ny for years!
Glen Taylor in Minny has some really bad moves to account for.
Historically lots of bad guys. One might have account for teams that were pretty good but owner freaking blows it.
Roy Boe sold Dr J. Really, there was no other way?
Steinbrenner was both the best and worst depending on the decade.
Jerry Jones at that level is not great. Who owns the Bengals? Who cares? Woody Johnson and the Jets!
Look at all time worst teams and there is long list of inept scenarios. Dolan is in our microscope so he “is the worst”.
Some guys suck and are evil like Sterling. Some are lovable but teams don’t do well. Can’t think of one off the top of my head but losing itself does not make one “bad”. Dolan is a prick and has acted as such. 23 years since Jordan left Bulls, Reinsdorf’s bulls squandered a lot of talent. We even gifted them Joakim AND what could have been Aldridge by obtaining Eddy. Still they did little with it. DRose did get hurt but.........

Well I think that saying is all well and good but we have the worst team owner. He sucks, he doesn’t really care about winning, and he is a no neck having, degenerate drinker. Fuck Dolan...... a real piece of shit that guy is.
Glad to see you guys taking wnba....
Sabrina is potentially the Kobe Bryant to Diana Taurasi's Jordan.... will be fun to see... but the Liberty look to be running and Gunning.... they have no real inside presence and they have a ton of perimeter players. I can't wait to see them play.
