Knicks · What free agent Pgs up to 7 mm are available? (page 1)

BRIGGS @ 5/3/2020 8:31 PM
Say something like 2-3 years 14-20mm
EnySpree @ 5/3/2020 8:35 PM
Elfrid Payton, Frank Ntilikina lol
wargames @ 5/3/2020 9:00 PM
Teague might take that And he might be able to put up around 12 pts per game next year.

If Frankie finally makes the jump (this will be year 4 remember) then he’ll be worth more than that.... unless everyone in the league has to take massive paycuts because of the combination of the virus and losing business with China.

why are we spending just 7m on a pg?

I'm maxing out Fred VanVleet if I can add him. He is young enough, proven enough and I hope talented enough that we can eliminate PG from the question marks around the franchise.

A guy who I think is an up and comer is Jalen Brunson. We made a trade with Dallas. Could’ve had him and got smith
Unfortunately he’s still under contract

Kris Dunn is also available if you want to do the Emmanuel Mudiay thing over again. Goran Dragiv also wouldn't be bad on a one year.

He looked beyond done once he got traded to Atlanta- he was awful

I like this site for questions like this- you can select the position you're interested in and it shows the free agents ranked:

Don't think there are any PGs that are worth it in the $7mil range. If you just want a stop gap, maybe Utah would do a salary dump with Conley, who will be expiring, and looked bit better after his disastrous start.

I'm interested to see how the current financial situation and the likely shrinking cap is going to impact Van Fleet's offers this offseason. What would be the limit you'd pay for him?

I don’t see Conley reclaiming his Utah glory day form. Dunn please no. Agustin / Isiah Thomas nope. Only players worth consideration VanVleet and Dragic. Dragic could be an ideal mentor to a draft pick. Obvious VanVleet is top banana. I forgot how big he played against GSW in the finals.

If we get bigs and wings / perimeter shooting in the draft and are effectively left with only Frankie at the pg spot, I say go big after him. Elf and DSJ be gone!!
