What? How can anyone think this is a good idea? Every day I get more appalled this country is fd.
For me, this is a perfect example of where Capitalism fails and greed takes over. There is no benefit for America here in this type of deal that I can see. Someone got paid off and let this happen, pure and simple.
Thousands of more examples, starting with non-employer tied Healthcare, free college Education, etc. These thing need and should happen but because other people profit off of them NOT happening, they don't.

This seems to be were the real battle lies. Because it almost always boils down to judgement calls. And then people claim that the "system isn't racist" due to them being judgement calls.

Joe Biden has claimed that the US military will escort president Donald Trump from the White House, if he loses in November’s presidential election and refuses to leave. When asked during an interview with Trevor Noah, of The Daily Show on Wednesday, if he has thought about what would happen if Mr Trump refused to leave if he lost the election, the presumptive Democratic candidate for the 2020 election replied: “Yes I have.”
Mr Trump was criticised by former military officials last week, for his aggressive stance on protesters, who have demonstrated across the US, following the death of black man George Floyd, who died after being detained by police.
The president called in the National Guard to help with protests in some states, and US attorney general William Barr ordered protesters outside the White House gates to be dispersed with tear gas and rubber bullets, so Mr Trump could go to a photo opportunity at a nearby church.
The former vice president referenced Mr Trump’s use of military during the protests, and said: “So many rank and file military personnel saying ‘woah, we are not a military state, this is not who we are’.”
Mr Biden added: “I promise you, I am absolutely convinced they will escort him from the White House with great dispatch,” if the president lost the election and refused to leave.
During the interview, on Wednesday, Mr Noah asked the former vice president what his greatest concern with the president is, going into the election in five months time.
Mr Biden replied: “It’s my greatest concern, my single greatest concern. This president is going to try to steal this election.”

The second issue is if he loses what does a petulant sociopath do from November until the inauguration? Still place judges? Still in charge of the military? This man will burn it down like a child before he would graciously orchestrate and transition. Whats good for the counrty or whats good for Trump? Has he ever put the greater good of the country ahead of his?

In 2006, Cariol Horne, a black Buffalo police officer, intervened when a white officer, Gregory Kwiatkowski, had a black suspect, David Mack, in a chokehold. Horne jumped on Kwiatkowski’s back to prevent him from harming Mack. In 2008, she was fired from the Buffalo Police Department for her intervention in that case and lost her pension.Horne, who had been on the force for 19 years, was just one year away from earning her pension. The Buffalo Police Department investigated the incident and its final report said Horne’s actions put her fellow officers in danger.

Always wondered why that Seal didnt do more to remind people of that fact. Might have saved Kapernick some grief.
I've seen him interviewed before. I've seen other members of our Armed Forces speak out too. They were drowned out by the vocal minority. It was patter of the larger game plan to distract from the larger issue

Same here. I distinctly remember the interview. They even compared Kap to Chris Jackson when he would sit during the national anthem on NBA games. The right didn't care. Sitting or Kneeling.

This defiance is troubling and is the source of frustration fueling many of these riots. Instead of introspection, we have cops getting retribution and justifying their overzealous responses with more violence. They don't want the public's understanding or meaningful reform. They just want compliance.

Agree. Most of what we've seen hasnt been from security footage, but cops openly brutalizing the population in a sea of smartphones. Didnt even slow them down. They dont care this is going out globally. Now that its happening to white people in significant numbers, we might get some real change. If Trump is ousted. If not on the federal level, than locally.

"You never know which day of total impunity will be your last" Ha!
For someone like myself who strongly believes there is systemic racism. These beliefs aren't due to be being black as this will be a come up for me/us. Or due to this viewpoint being passed down to me by my parents. But due to there being so much data available to prove this to be the case. Either from a step by step historical perspective. Example: Cops have been brutal towards African Americans because of black violence, gangs, hip hop culture etc... Yet historically post slavery during segregation. Before any of these things were ever a thing, police have been brutalizing African American & government have been locking up African Americans. There is no chicken or the egg here. There is a clear timeline of events. From a study, research & data collection perspective. There are so many studies that have been done breaking down similar circumstances & *choices* leading to different results and different judgement calls. With the only difference skin color.
When there is this much history and data available to back the case for systemic racism. Don't know how many debates I have gotten into when the history and data is presented. Which is usually followed by silence as there is no real rebuttal, but yet still no admitted acceptance. Granted its not human nature to change your mind on a viewpoint that someone has believed for possibly their whole life.
But my question is why such resistance to this viewpoint? African Americans only take up 14.6% of the population of America(when you count mixed 13.4% when you don't). Out of the 705 billionaires in the US only 5 of them are black or 0.0070%. In US 76% of the 18.6 million millionaires in the us are White/Caucasian. 8% are African American. Or 1.488 million millionaires. 1.488 million millionaires out of 47.8 million population of African Americans. Or 0.031% within the African American population are millionaires. Vs 14.1 million Caucasian millionaires. 14.1 million millionaires out of 197.1 million population. Or 0.071% of Caucasian within the Caucasian population are millionaires. If African American's had the same 0.071....% of its population as millionaires. Would still only be around 1.6-1.7 million millionaires. African Americans own only %7 of America's businesses. 92.6% court judges in America are Caucasian. 7.4% are mixed between Asian, Black, or Other Ethnic Groups. Wealth and positions of power are mostly dominated by Caucasians. To us African Americans, resistance of the belief that systemic exist seems like a way of keeping these type of numbers as status quo. Makes sense doesn't it? But if this isn't the case. What is driving the fear towards accepting that systemic racism has been at play? What is the belief of what will happen if systemic racism is acknowledged?

I do not understand what Caucasian means.
As a man who grow up in Europe I understand nations and nationalities.
I am Jewish, my neighbors Indian, Chinese, Pols, Filipino, Cubans, Nigerians, Iranians, or local Americans who do not associate themselves with nation of their descent.
The American way of categorizing people by some arbitrary groups of Asians, Africans, African Americans, Latinos, Caucasian, etc. is total boolsht to me.
Statistic made up out of this piece of work is just... another piece of work.
Hate is hate regardless of it being directed as people of specific color, religion, nationality, or any other distinction.
Going back to systemic racism you are talking about I want to clarify the basics first.
It is against specifically African Americans (descendants of people brought to America as slaves), or people of African race (including new emigrants from Africa countries and Caribbean), or against any so called color people, or against people who are not from Europe, or not Christians, or whatever else?
There are tens of millions of citizens in this country who cannot even distinguish who is AA and who is African or Caribbean emigrant.
Are Jews and Arabs Caucasians? Are emigrants from Brazil who are 100% descendants of Spaniards Latinos or Caucasians? And so on...
Who is the idiot who come up with this strange nonsense?

This. If police were just cracking black protesters over the head Trump would have already declared war and sent in troops. But people seeing these white people get bashed up is making them realize that having these out of control police running around is a problem for everyone.
