I just bought it today......This game is awesome! It's crazy addictive.....In my opinion they fixed everything wrong with 2004 with the new release. I spent my whole day off just practicing dunks and messing with the all-star weekend....I feel like I'm 12 again.

I know we just had a thread about this but I just had to start a fresh one....

Besides.....with the on-line option how come no one talked about starting a touney? I'm down......Even if guys want to play against each other just to bragg on here about it we can do it.

If anyone is interested in that let me know....I might on-line sometime this week.

But yeah, that game dominates! I'm finally starting to get the hang of the dunk contest. (I'm cheap, my dunks are all basically the same, but I press a different finisher and get 45-50 everytime).

Awesome game, I finally learned the put the ball between both of your legs dunk. As I have said before, the only thing I really don't like about the game is the ratings which are pretty bad. For example, the Knicks have a better rating than the Lakers, Heat, T'Wolves, just to name a few. The player ratings are also pretty messed up. Overall, however, Life 2005 is still a very good basketball game.

I bought it on Saturday the 2nd. I now have every dunk down but the 720. Talk about addictive

just got the game yesterday mailed to me...i have to say, i was disappointed in the quality of the graphics...the players look very cartoon-like...imo, ESPN 2K5 has much more realistic graphics...not sure about the game play on ESPN 2K5 since i have never played it, but i plan to buy that game as well.

still haven't messed around w/the Allstar weekend or Dunk Contest yet though...i'm sure i'll love that part of it, since it was the main reason i bought Live to begin with...but i think i might play ESPN 2K5 to track the season because the graphics & gameplay are supposed to be better.

How did you buy it and not mess around with the Slam Dunk competition after first buying it? I woke up this morning and that was the first thing I did was play Live. Before I go to work I might put it at least 3 more hours on this game....and I got kids to pick up and take care of....not to mention sleep.

The graphics are cartoonish? What? Are you serious? They got everything down perfect this time. Play the three point shoot out and watch the way some of those guys shoot.....They got Reggies whole form down pat....Even the way Steve Nash tilts his head to the left.

Take a look at Tim Thomas and Crawford during the dunk contest and tell me they look cartoonish......

They got new annimations on everything. The passing is more crisp and the Artificial Inteligence is smarter than ever. Try tossing the ball ahead on the break....the player does a short skip, that is so subtle it's awesome. You could throw the ball of the backboard on purpose if you want....

Geez man this game is awesome....I would never play 2K5. EA Sports answered all the prays. This time around they focused on the game instead of the soundtrack and that stupid intro and screen saver BS.

Awesome game....man this is some free advertising they need to send em a check. The game is seriously flawless.

The only nock on the game is the post game. It's truly a battle to get off a score down low. But the rebounding blocking is alot better, also the inside finishing moves are breath taking so it's not even a real issue.

This game is the best thing that ever happened to me, lol.

what are you talking about? why would i lie to you guys about my personal experience w/this game? unlike you, i have a life & don't devote my entire day to playing video games when i buy them...

Well, I actually thought ESPN's graphics look much better. And I think when TMS said graphics he ment how the picture looks, not exactly the animations. In my opinion, Live does look somewhat cartoony (not too offend anyone)

live looks like a cartoon on PS2 but not as much on Xbox... its sick either way tho... IMO live is better to play against someone else while ESPN is better to play against the computer

is it out on pc yet? if yes any idea qhere i can dl it from?
