I'm hearing one of the candidates will be hired as Thibs possible assistant, I don't think anyone believes Thibs wont be hired unless he pulls a Steve Kerr. With that being said, who do you think would be the best assistant

Kenny. I have zero interest in Kidd working for the Knicks again.
I'd prefer one of the younger up and coming guys as chief assistant (because I think thats the only way they'll leave their current post)- either of the Spurs candidates would be good. Have Woody and/or Miller as regular assistant

Realistically, the 2 candidates that can be assistant coaches are woody and Miller. Kenny will become a Head coach(Chicago as a possibility) or sit this one out and nstill earn while protect g his health.
Both woody and Miller would be good, but I think Miller will get the nod and not woody. Miller knows the roster, can get a glowing compliment from Jeff van fundy, who hired him to help him in team USA and has support from the internal organization.
Another coach who will stay is Keith bogans, played for thibs and knows his system very well. I'd round off his staff with a big man coach and a veteran assistant that has been with thibs since the start.

How long you think they keep a 25 win roster together with 9 potential FA on it, and the rest with 1 or 2 yrs left on their contract?
I can't remember a single president( from Ernie to mills) that didn't come in and flip the entire roster in 1 to 2 season
Mliler knowing the roster doesn't hold much weight, if you retain miller it's because you like what he brings, no one got tremendously better under him, but he's a nice guy, just a bit old school

You don't get tremendously better overnight, but if you want to say the team did look tremendously better under him vs. Fizadale. Guys seemed to buy into his schemes, we were competing even though we were out of the race, guys were not playing selfish despite being FA this off-season. It shows his command of the team is good. Miller knowing the roster means the core guys identified by rose.
Bogans was brought up by Miller as he was an assistant with him in the g league. Makes sense though as he played for thibs and started as their SG
None he shouldn’t be the HC
