Absolutely, hands down. But until the Knicks even play some games again, if the Mavs and KP were to fail it would bring a little bit of light into the world.
Agreed!
Rooting against players and teams we don't like and have some sort of imagined, irrational grievance with, is all we Knick fans have left!

I hear you BRIGGS (good to see you back) but I believe the Ewing trade was worse.
KP wanted out.
We didn't have to trade Ewing for all that we did and it led the path to our destruction as a good team that we've never recovered from.
What they both stink of is how awful our owner and management has been for decades.
KP was going to walk, 100%. No way was he going to re-sign.
I think they got the best deal they could given that he wanted out.
We'll see. The story isn't finished yet, but yes, in any other circumstance that trade would never be made, but we're the post 90's era Knicks.
Being a Knick fan is to suffer....

Yep! Along with KP and the Mavs, my biggest stake will be rooting against the Lakers and Labronna. It's petty, it's meager, but it's all I have.
I will be rooting for the Clips, now that our pick has been set. Really liked how Marcus Morris handled himself here, so would be glad for him to win a chip. Plus Kawhi is just amazing.
As much as I detest KP and the Mavs, I cannot bring myself to root against them, because I am overawed by Luca.
The Blazers are kinda cool, with Dame and Melo. Denver is fun with the Joker.

I'll root for Blazers out west (if they make it). East, if it weren't for our history I'd probably root for the Heat but I will never cross that line!
No East team appeals to me really-

I can root for Mil. I'm over the GF/KP injury thing and I'm cool with the rest of the team.
Dumbass got ejected for 2 weak techs
The dumbass probably thought he was back on da streetz of Liepaja mixin id up wid Rushen gopnik hooligans.
Compare and contrast to Doncic in terms of who is a real leader.
Really, his first Tech was kind of light. His second was legit because he was third man in and over reacted. Mook and Luca beef was over in seconds.
Hope he learned from this. Things get chippy a lot in the playoffs. If he didn’t, he is going to get techs left and right.
I like the way KP is being used and perhaps more limited then I thought. He seems to have limited his putback attempts and does not chase down everything which is how he often would get hurt. Like Zion, he is a bit of an anomaly physically. At 7'3 he has obvious talents for his size but as Phil noted early he lacks lower core size and the physiology that makes him better suited for the parameter. Paired with Luca who needs space KP is a good wingman for the next generation Larry Bird! Funny, Bird was like 23 when he go the NBA.
Sometimes Dallas runs smoother when KP is NOT on the floor or its my obvious distain for the "Regrettable" and my scorn for the divorce.
Timmy Jr while a bit over priced has found a good place in his role. Here he was often our no. 1 option. Him and Trey look good because the talent is far better than what we had here. On knicks THEY were the talent.
When we are a winning organization we'll less focused on the past.
Luka makes everyone look good. He really does have Bird and Magic qualities

Doncic was the one player in that draft I said the Knicks should trade up for. We didnt have enough to outbid the Mavs, Im guessing. Wasnt hard to tell after seeing what he was doing in Europe vs. good veteran talent, as a teenager. Surprised that it was downplayed to the degree it was. Not the 1980s
Didnt catch the game. Sounds like KP is still thin skinned.
For what its worth, the Mavs were outscored 52-39 once KP was ejected.

With out a doubt KP and THJ look much more at ease. KP is not getting double and triple team every time he touches the ball, and THJ is not being asked to carry the scoring load.
both techs were BS
for the record both Jackson and JVG said Mavs "robbed" the Knicks on that trade -- Jackson's words; JVG said it was one of Donnie Nelson's best trades ever and he has had tons (words to that effect) and probably with reference to Luka. I doubt Donnie ws in the fold when Mavs traded for Dirk's draft rights, but they've had a few
I was happy he got ejected kp needs to know better shouldn't have gotten into with mook and luka. If you already have 1 tech and know refs are quick trigger you know refs are going to call things tight. Paul george got same tech in first half kp got swing is fist air for bad call.

Yeah. That stung when JVG and Mark said that. I could feel Breens pain. However, that fooker didn't want to be here. So good riddance.
Marcus Morris is a beast. Would have loved to have seen a brawl between him and KP- ha! Don't know what KP was thinking, Marcus Morris and his brother are two of the few players in the league you don't mess with under any circumstances!

They are just bitter they are not coaching in the NBA any more, and taunting the Knicks' fans to cover up for their own feelings of inferiority.
Before Van Goofy judges the refs again for Teeing up a player, he should remind himself how he used to hang by Alonzo Mourning's shorts.

Fact of the matter is that the KP trade was a bad trade and set us back years. Many saw it as yet another mismanaged situation and another panic move by an inept franchise.
Find it interesting that Knick fans, who have seen this movie so many times before, are the first to defend every bad move made by the franchise. Yet easily admit how bad the organization has been, if asked.
Think the narrative regarding the disappointment with the trade, for me, has always been on how the Knicks managed to screw up a relationship with our only good draft pick in 20 plus years. Which btw takes more than ONE disagreement with a players brother or an injury. It takes a couple of years of seeing and dealing with what the Knicks front office truly represents. Some fans can make it about KP, his brother, the injury but we all really know and probably expected nothing else from Dolan and his flunkies once KP showed the potential to be a star.
But I get it, Knick fans would rather put a wall of denial around themselves to cope. And anyone that dares to escape or complains about us will quickly be deemed an enemy. Hey I am right there with you guys. I mean, what else are we to do? Admit that this team/organization is a joke, we just lost a player that would have possibly been an integral part of a championship team or that we are once again in the early years of an uncertain rebuild? Nah!
