Don't think you can look at Doncic and say he's a gym rat, in fact his lack of gym is one of his weaknesses- looks perennially on the cusp of being out of shape, which (as with Zion) is very disappointing and cause for concern long term. Like Zion, performs great at the moment despite that, but as we all know, that catches up with you one day unless you change your ways!

I used to get so annoyed watching Shaq play, because I used to think it was impossible to stop him- it felt so unfair! He was an absolute BEAST! This is still one of my favourite dunks of all time, even though it was against the Knicks and clearly a technical foul- just the level of disrespect

no doubt had physical attributes given by god but its foolish to think he was just that. His footwork kept him in the league until age 37 despite his massive size by then.
We look at him thru the lens of Kobe and he falls short? Kobe was a sociopath worker and was critical of those who did not match is intensity. Fans don't get that privilege. Shame we could not procure him for Ewing back in the day when both approached free agency. It is said Shaq longed for LA and not ever NY.

That Dunk was legendary, it was about as bad as Pippen dunking over EWING then walking over him.

In this one, Dudley's reaction was priceless, because the only thing he could do was toss the ball back at him from 25 feet away..lol.

I would be more objective if this was carmelo type situation which melo left on his own terms and gave us little success going to the playoff 2010-2013 . If kp took us to playoffs and was losing first round sick of direction then he had right to go but kp didn't take us to the playoffs ever. Kp wanted out of nyc to play with his boy donic and biggest things is this kp didn't want to be here in nyc he left good riddance. Carmelo wanted to be here he got traded here he enjoyed it here in nyc until things got bad then he got traded to okc for solid package kanter and 2 round pick pick that became mitch robinson. If kp was so great he would have taken knicks to playoffs at least once while he was here. I rooting for carmelo because he did get us to the playoffs and plus carmelo deserves to go to the playoffs for everything rockets put him through last year. KP got traded to the team MILLs (in his opinion) presented the best deal, KP had absolute NO say in what team he would be traded to.

I think your even more salty about the trade Because we got trash in return, and you chose to direct your hate more towards the player.

When A/D wanted out did you see the pelicans Panic, or Kyrie, or PG13, or Love in mini..The in experience Mills and Perry push the PANIC button, and ended up getting FIRED for it.

when DSJ was having issues in Dallas, did Cuban Panic and trade him for a Ham sandwich..

There was absolutely No rush to trade KP, he wasn't even playing

KP marched in days before the trade deadline and told knicks he was a going home and not interested in staying. He was not resigning and willing to go past his restricted year. So there was a deadline.
Kyrie, AD, PG13 were not ACL broken. Once deadline goes away the leverage goes further away from KNicks and trades not strong. Dallas as reported was not on his list but......

1. Luca was a hell f a rookie.
2. They said they would extend him asap.

If KP pushed back the deal not as strong. Knicks could trade him anywhere but implied consent.

There was no rush whatsoever to trade KP.. he was still a restricted free agent.. he could’ve sulked but he still had a career to establish. We were so inept as an organization not to cherish this gift that fell into our laps.

The thought of KP & Mitch playing together was the dream scenario. Instead we relied on the decisions of clueless empty suits that ruined that dream.

There was no rush to trade KP, but I doubt his trade value would have improved if he were kept for another year in NY. Remember, at the time of the trade the NYK also got to unload lots of contracts and create cap room for two max FA signings. This was seen as of great value given the FA class. In hindsight it proved no value at all, since we whiffed on the best FAs, but that was only in hindsight.

Correct- remember in the offseason he had that brawl and the rape allegation- both of those would have been brutal with the NY media focus.

He could have gotten the same contract form Mav’s and we either match it or let him walk.
He could sign the qualifying offer and then be unrestricted.
KP was broken and you go past the deadline he gains more leverage which devalues his trade value.
Look how this thing goes, KP season thru march was pretty good, a bit uneven. Rests 4 months and has monster 6 games and we all crying again? As said, we concerned about his durability and stamina and he did start his sophomore season with us pretty darn good and had the team over .500 post melo but then he got “Tired”. Then a month later he broke.
KNicks blame is In part everything leading up to the DIVORCE but the moment of trade had circumstances that seem trivial now but it effected his value at that moment. KP had his share of blame also.
Max value opportunity was when Phil wanted to trade him. He got fired. Knicks could not reconcile the relationship. KP did not want to either. The moment of the trade in retrospect is glossed over by some of you.
Its ok, PHil sucked but he was correct about KP. Mills sucked but he tried to do what his boss wanted which was make nice with KP.
Got him a new personable coach and fired Hornacek. Obviously not enough.
Year and a half later KP is killing it with top 5 MVP who we never had and we measure the trade based on this metric.

Should be more fun to root for the Knicks to win as opposed to rooting for another team to lose.

Absolutely, hands down. But until the Knicks even play some games again, if the Mavs and KP were to fail it would bring a little bit of light into the world.
