Good take.......but........And I’m just thinking outloud. Why follow the trend? Why not change the paradigm?
The Stretch 4’s can’t guard Randle. I have seen him destroy forwards inside. Does that mean thats what we do? Of course not.
Damn it that Isiah was not ahead of his time with Channing Frye!!! LOL
League changes. If you can guard the parameter you can stop the stretch 4. Now, can Melo, Danillo, or Bertans stop Julius?
Maybe I in the minority that thinks he is a beast. Do I want him on the elbow with the ball facing the basket as did Fiz? No.
Maybe we can’t solve this issue this season and we let Randle walk if we can’t do a good deal for him.
I don’t want to do a bad deal for him!!!!
I wish the front office wont give in to the New York media and fan pressure. They should not be blinded by the allure of an offseason trade for a young superstar this offseason. They should not overpromise so fans and media should never think a playoff birth is in the horizon for next year. The team should just buckle down, and work hard to show improvement. The front office should focus on bringing in vets to aid and not hinder the development of the young core. Use the coming year to fully evaluate the current roster to identify the players they want to move forward with. The last thing i want to hear is a news we traded for a star and gave up a huge portion of our youth without Thibs being able to work with them first and properly evaluate each player. If the rest of the NBA, media and fans can see a positive change with the knicks for next season, we might be in a very good spot to get a superstar in free agency and still hold on to a young core. The route we should have taken before to get melo to the knicks. Hopefully the front office can try that approach this time around.
