It baffles me that one of the benefit of being a cash rich team is that you can hire many staff, the best staff money can buy to help your team and the knicks lag behind small markets teams.
It 's not like our method is working wonders. Granted that talented players beat all but every advantages we could gather is a plus.
Crazy that we had 2 people in our analytics dept, while OKC had 10!!! Embarrassing, especially since Phil started BS-ing about expanding analytics back when he was team president. Though it's weird the warriors only have 3 as well. Also Nuggets only have 2. I think the HEAT have been great at finding diamonds in the rough (huge part of that is their elite player development) as do the Raptors, so seems like you can do well with 5.
Valuing analytics more, hopefully means we'll give good consideration to Haliburton and Okongwu

Gotta be careful. That list just has titled positions, not entire staffs. How many times have you been given a crappy title with no pay raise and no major shift in responsibilities? That said, we definitely needed a renewed emphasis on analytics. Hopefully the department integrates well with Perrin and his group.
