Ha, this year I'm not as on edge as usual, just because there's no can't-miss prospects, and after intensive brainwashing over the past 6 months, I've successfully fooled myself into believing I'm okay with the 8th pick because we could really do with a role player

I think we land anywhere between 1 and 4..

I just keep thinking the NBA is trying to abolish tanking, and in order to do that you can't have those teams in the top 3 of the draft.

Just look at how it played out last yr in their first efforts..

I guess it's Good fortune in a weak draft with no clear cut #1, #2, or #3 pick.

Every time 'Knicks Fan TV' and 'Hard Knicks Life' do it we end up with 8th- our signature drafting spot over the years

The rule for Knicks drafting spot seems to be either 7 or 8 OR this simple formula:

Number of tier 1 prospects in the draft + 1 = Knicks drafting spot

So in this draft that would be: 3 (Wiseman, Ball, Edwards) + 1 = 4th pick

ESPN can't contain themselves. They grew their empire on the backs of the Knicks the last 20 years. On the sac heavy

I kind of feel the same way. Not sure the differences of 1 - 8 or so are so dramatic that I care. The later picks cost less. So, I am good either way. If we got #1, would be willing to trade it for a few more parts.

Emotionally Nalod goes with 6-8 as thats where the odds are. Anything more is a plus. last year draft was weak but the cut off was 4 and below. We were lucky to get RJ. Love Zion but like most he is on part Barkley, one part Unseld, but one part Sweetney. HOF talent with a body built for the NFL.

ha good take

If there ever were a draft where we get lucky and move up - it's this one! There wouldn't be any concerns that it was rigged as this draft doesn't have a consensus #1 pick. Many thought the fix was in for last year's draft with Zion, so it would be fitting if we moved up this year.
