i give up we will get another Bum like Knox. Whats the point I see no end to this crap. The lottery is fixed against bad teams. Seriously how many more years do we have to suck. Every season we are easily the least talented team in the NBA and we walk away with bums

I am officially on the Aaron Nesmith train.
TheGame@ 8/20/2020 8:54 PM
This is just messed up. We move from 6 to 8. This new format is bs. Damn..

Why?
This is exactly why I want to trade the pick. All we need is the Knicks to try to look for that long shot and get stuck with a bum.
Have you warched a full Vandy game? Kid had a good 14 games vs mediocre competition and some, think he is a lottery pick? All I see is someone that needs a lot of time to get off a shot and lacks explosiveness.

I have a feeling that Wes will use this pick as part of a package in a trade. Gotta say, if there was ever a draft to trade away picks to get a proven player, this may be the one.
PhilinLA@ 8/20/2020 9:09 PM
This pick has no trade value.
TheGame@ 8/20/2020 9:10 PM
Devin Vassel should be the pick. Hayes and Haliburton likely are gone by 8th pick. One might be there, but I think Vassel still should be the pick. He is exactly what we want at the 2/3. Good defense, solid 3 point shooter, unselfish, smart, and athletic.
NYKBocker@ 8/20/2020 9:13 PM
I think we still get a very good pick. No clear cut top 3 in this draft.
SupremeCommander@ 8/20/2020 9:14 PM
We’re probably taking Cole Anthony

If we stay at 8 I would t be surprised
GustavBahler@ 8/20/2020 9:16 PM
Will be interested in what PGs will be there, if we keep the pick.
EwingsGlass@ 8/20/2020 9:17 PM
This might actually be a good thing. Given bae year salary structure and general indifference between the players in this draft, I like to think of it that we got our player this year at a discount.

He is easier to justify at 8 than at 6. I think he has the chance to be good. I think he is a better player than he showed in college. The issue is can he really run an offense. Not sure that he can, but he can score and he should be a solid defender.

Klay Thompson went 14 Mike Redd went 34. Both kind of poo pooed for not being great athletes---I think we take the best shooter in the draft.

Possibly to trade down for multiple picks? Think some may value Halliburton, Hayes, Achuwai and Vassel. All who should be available at the 8

Might as well grab a wing that can shoot. We need shooters terribly

Would rather pick the best player available. Think our later picks can be position need based picks.

IMHO this draft is pretty much hot trash , so landing @8 does not bother me at all like it otherwise would (example last years).
I am high AF , but I would take this kid at 8.
