As far as skills are concerned, Luka is 2, LeBron 1. IMO. KP somewhere in the 20s. Being able to do what he does at 7'3 is why I would rank him in that range.

Randle> KP skills, production, team play, availability.

Randle is playing like he's in the top ten this season. Dont know if the numbers bear that out. If KP didnt demand a trade, he wouldnt have held up from being the number one option. Dont have to "hate" KP to see that the Mavs are a much better situation for him, with Luka as the franchise.

Worked out best for both teams.

I think that's reasonable. We would have so many threads about how horrible KP is if he were still here as our alpha player.

Kp really fades through a full game he’s demeanor looks negative/dose not care ... very melo like .

I don’t know if you can even call kp top 25 his impact on a FULL GAME is low. If he’s off he lacks the fight to impact in other ways, he really hasn’t improved from his youth in NY...

Overall a great trade I’d hate to have KP’s contract we would definitely be lotto bound if we replaced randle with KP ...

Randal is on a whole different level then kp.

The key point about the trade was its inevitability, when it became clear that KP valued financial security above all and would not be willing to wait another year to sign a supermax with the Knicks, which would have allowed the team to see how well he would recover, draft Zion-Ja-RJ AND sign a superstar in the offseason to form a top-flight core 3 with him. Instead, he was forcing the Knicks to lock themselves into having just him and a newly drafted rookie carry the franchise for years, with limited hope for improvement via the FA market.

Cannot blame him, he was looking out for his own interest, but it was obviously never about the interest of the team for him. Melo was much maligned for not "helping" the Knicks by taking less money, or pushing harder for a trade to NY that would not have had as many assets going back to Denver, but the level of selfishness shown by KP was greater than Melo's.

KP can’t be top 25. Top 30 players in the league are all all star caliber players which KP is not.

Ouch. Not a KP fan, but hope it’s not serious.

The more games I watch recently, I feel like we’re all one misstep away from the ER.

Nalod @ 4/23/2021 9:28 AM
HE was having a good game. They won without him. AD first game back BTW.
I don’t care if he is the F’n MVP, I just want them to lose so our pick is higher.
NYKBocker @ 4/23/2021 9:43 AM
Oh...too bad.

Almost looked like he landed on Luka's foot, but he just twisted his own ankle on the floor all by himself.

7'3" and bad pins. Knees are problematic, now the ankles, then might be his back.

Yeah, it's really too bad. Hopefully Dallas stays true to form and loses more without him.

I really must not pass comment for fear of coming across as facetious.

No worries. flip away.

Not sure how I feel about it. I honestly thought I would care more

Hopefully he recovers from his injury. With Randle and Quick playing the way they are I am pretty much over KP. I have no ill will towards him. Everything worked out great on our end.

You know it isn't KP, it isn't even his douchebag brother. It's that ******* horse.

GustavBahler @ 4/23/2021 9:16 PM
Thats rough. Contact injury, bad luck.

For those who say KP isnt a top 25 player because he isnt "all-star caliber". You make an all-star team, you're All-Star caliber.

I'd put KP in the 20's. Hard to say where because he doesnt go on very long stretches, where he's injury free. Has to keep working himself back into the rotation, the swing of things.
