I think you should flip 27 and 38. If Bane lasts until 38 thats a steal.

Watching the NBA playoffs. We need firepower. You get strong 3 point shooting all over the floor — you become a team to deal with.

I’m pretty much the same the whole time

I either wanted Wiseman and two three point shooters or a wing scorer two 3 point shooters and Christian wood.

Knicks fan tv said the 2 latter pick players they heard whispers we're interested in are:

Cassius Stanley, SG, Duke

There could be real value in taking Stanley, an elite athlete with a smooth shooting stroke, at one of the later first-round spots. He profiles as just the type of player who thrives more in an open NBA system than he did in college. He struggles to create his own offense, but that can come with development, and at the very least he'll be a monster in transition with a pretty high ceiling on both ends of the floor.

Robert Woodard, F, Mississippi State

Why is Bane always ranked so low in Mocks?

We definitely need to come out of this draft with 2 high level shooters at the very least. Bane has been my top target at 27 all summer. For me unless there's an unexpected drop i go

8: Vassell (But Nesmith is fine too)
27: Bane
38: Solid PG prospect like Winston or Riller

If Haliburton isn't there, which i don't see him getting past Atlanta and Detroit, i think the wing shooting should be addressed. I'll grab a backup PG prospect and look to add VanVleet this summer or just find a stopgap vet, with Ntilikina also in the mix.

Best case is a PG depth chart of VanVleet/Ntilikina/Riller/Harper (2-way contract)

This draft the focus should and can be on completely revamping the guard and wing depth and prospect pool with the focus being on adding high level shooters.

Wing depth becomes Barrett and Vassell starting with Bullock, Bane, and Brazdeikis as SG/SF depth.

Older prospect from a smaller program, not very athlete, and doesn't really look like a basketball player. Basically his upside is very good open 3pt shooter with reasonable defense.

Yeah with Bane you really just have to trust the numbers to like him as a prospect. He's sort of a player who won't pass the eye test for a lot of scouts. He has a lot of bulk and short arms. Not the most athletic and older. I still see him sneaking into the first round though because of the success of guys like Joe Harris and Gary Trent. It's easy to pencil him into a bench role as a guy who can come off the bench and play either wing position.

Stanley is intriguing. His shooting numbers are better than i realized. I don't doubt the new front office will value guys from Kentucky and Duke above most other programs. With Stanley i think the question is what part of his game can he fall back on as a translatable skill?

Man, Woodward's wingspan just jumps out in that video!
Uptown @ 9/1/2020 2:18 PM
More than just shooters, we need guys who can put the ball on the floor and create for themselves, get into the paint, and either get off a get shot or draw defenders and kick it for open looks. This is the reason why Cole Anthony is still in play @ 8. Hate him or love him, his game translates to the way the game is played today.

Stanley is one of the most explosive athletes in this draft....Good shooter when wide open but he needs to work on his handle. Wouldn't mind taking a shot at him if he is there 27. Woodard is another explosive athlete. These are the type of layers you take a homerun swing on late in the 1st round. I would add Jaden McDaniel to this list as well. With proper development, any one of these players can develop into a good rotational player.

Briggs, I am a Bane fan. Reminds me of Eric Gordon. Posted that he would be one of my picks if we traded down our 8th for a couple of lower drat picks. Along with Bey from Villanova. Think Bane can go anywhere from 20 to 35. I am hoping that Toppin (Doubt it), Okora, Hayes or Avdija drop to us at 8. If not Vasell is my pick. Don't know why I get the feeling that Knicks will pick Maxey at the 8. At 27 I am hoping for Bane, Stanley, Terry, Green, Achiuwa, Ramsey or Bolmaro. At 38 (if we get Bane there, that would be a steal) I would like to take a chance on Pritchard. Reminds me of Reddick or Korver type. Also like Carey Jr. and Robert Woodard (Good glue guy, high motor) However, I am hoping the Knicks stay out of using their 1st round picks on a PG and save it for the 38 pick. Think/hope there will still be some decent ones left. Just hope we dont do anything stupid like trade up for Lamelo. That would be a big risk.

I think we can get Bane at 27 Nesmith at 8.
We need a sixth man type or a third guard. I still like Payton Pritchard But I think Markus Howard might be a tad more suitable for an Nba 8-9 bench pg who can come in and make 3s or potentially have an even bigger impact w his 3 point shooting

Don’t sleep on Cassius Winston either. He can really shoot. He could be another devonte Graham.
