Question for folks - I fondly recall the way the Knicks announcer (John Andariese?) would say his name after great plays, with the emphasis on the first name, "PATRICK Ewing!". Looking for audio of this but haven't found it - any leads?
That’s the Knicks PA announcer Mike Walczewski. He is still their PA announcer. He’s OK. The way he said Ewing and Sprewell and Ward and Houston and LJ and Childs was cool but he got kinda stupid too at times.
From an entertainment standpoint, I am more concerned with the garden playing music non-stop during the games to drown out negative fan reactions to Dolan. That’s what happened after the Rockets game where that incident with Spike happened. I might be alone on this but it was really hard to concentrate on the games when they started doing that.

Thanks. Fond memories of watching the games with my mom years ago, her favorite player was Ewing.

All NBA teams do this to keep the energy up especially in the first half. Its awful.
But lets face it the organ playing days are over. The pole dancing gyrating dancing girls might be gone too.

Yeah but the Knicks weren’t doing it until after that Rockets game and then all of a sudden they started playing noise every single second and it would continue after the whistle blew. I sure won’t go to a game if they continue down that path.
