I like Vassell or Cole Anthony at 8
Liked Vassell early on. But after watching his work outs I think he will have an issue with his shooting. Think other NBA teams will come to the same conclusion and he will drop to mid teens. No reason to get Anthony at 8. He will probably be ther at 27. Also, keep going ba k to Joe as another sleeper.

I also love Vassell’s long wingspan. Him, Frank and Mitch playing together will cause problems for teams trying to pass the ball
Vassell said he was just goofing around in that clip. That doesn't worry me. His inability to consistently create has me worried and that's why I have him a little lower, but I wouldn't freak out if they drafted him. He's safe. BUT I'd be happier if we nabbed Woodard at 27 than I would be if we drafted Vassell at #8. The one thing this draft does have is potential 3&D guys. Okoro and Vassell are the highest rated ones, but there will be options later in.

Might as well find out how good the new scouting system is. Also, although I agree that teen picks are hard to gauge, it is the reason I feel multiple picks are the best way to mitigate our return. Especially in a year where the draft is more uncertain than ever,
Really do think that the guys I mentuoned have a better chance of being closer to the pleasant surprise of MR than the somewhat dissapointing one of Frank and Knox. They have the same athletic quality I think may be something to focus on.
wasnt perry responsible for bagley, giles, and justin jackson-- much higher picks and stunk up the joint??

I think Vassell has a higher ceiling. He’s a 6’7 SG who can shoot

This a different team. Ie. set of scouts, Rose. Do you really think Perry is the only one making decisions? But like I said, no better time to find out the capabilities of our NEW regime. Especially in what I feel is a draft where many will prove to "stink up the joint".

No. He was assistant for like 3 months in SAC. Owner and Vlade Divac makes those calls.
