These things lack meaning. RJ was the best player last time and the media roasted him and he wasn’t even on the 2nd all rookie roster. It’s a snub based on nothing.

I'm torn. I want to see the top guys going at it in these fun events, get their bragging rights. At the same time, these things are tailor made for guys like Obi who just glow excitement and love of the game.
This was still better than watching Nate miss 15 dunk attempts on a row. 
All star beak is often a time when trades are done. Been quiet........Does it stay that way?
Griff to Nets.....Obviously a back up role player there for when injuries happen. Kind of a Larry Johnson type player no longer playing above the rim.
Before we “Beat the nets in the playoffs”, lets get there first! Then we can worry about not being embarrassed by them. After that an upset would be totally fun!!!!

Our Detroit pick is valuable and can be used in many ways.
This is the kind of deep draft that adds value to multiple picks. There is no “It” player. No Zion or Lebron type concerns is clear no brained. We have a lot of fodder to move up if we have a strong conviction on a player. At the same time with three picks likely in the top 31 picks we can take some risks. Sounds bad but one need just hit it big on one of the three to succeed! 2 of three would be amazing. Won’t know for years of course.
Yes, even successful businesses as well as team don’t plan for “Failure” but factor it in. For example if IQ is a multi year all star one day and Obi a bust, does it really matter? Yes, that one did succeed!!!!!! Three picks increases your odds. Push it into the middle for one pick? Oh boy, better nail it!!! don’t want to “Fultz” it!

Don't know about the Lakers, but I think Thibs is on top of this. Keep your players so tired with grueling practices and they won't have the will to leave their homes and face possible exposure.
