We need a shooting Guard who can score and create. PG sound good but a scoring 2 guard is everything. Payton reminds me of Rondo and is good enough if we can get a SG..Barrett is not that
Is RJ a 2 or a three?
Obi a 3 or a 4?
barrett is a 3 who needs a post up game.
obi 4

I’m more concerned about Barrett’s free throw shooting. He already has post moves and an nba body — both will continue to develop

Obi is definitely a four or five, just due to the fact he needs to be hidden on defense. Also, his ball handling would show it's limitations if you had consistently create from the perimeter. It wouldn't look as bad as when Fix tried it with Randle, but I'm pretty sure that experiment would fail. As for RJ, I don't think it matter what we call him. Right now he's a wing and you can move him around.
I'd be tempted by Buddy Hield, but I think Morey is going to trade for him.

Josh Richardson, Matisse Thybulle and some other flotsam? Philly's salary cap would go from being in hell to being jettisoned to the middle of the sun. Hield, Harris and Horford? Embied or Simmons would definitely need to be traded.

Think I read the proposal would be Horford plus maybe Josh and or Thybulle for Hield or something like that

Horford and Richardson means their salary cap would still stay in salary cap hell. Richardson gives them a decent wing. I'm not sure about Horford's role. I guess he's just the salary cap version of herpes. He gets passed around, but nobody really wants it. I think the King's can do better.
RJ has shown he can play Bully Ball against 2s, small sample size vs. 3s. If not, he doesnt't have the burst (as of now) to create separation.
Like with Mitch, we need to see what Barrett's offense looks like, before looking for help, or a replacement.
The position I believe is a top priority is PG. We need a backup plan for Frank and DSJr. Hopefully that doesnt involve maxing out an aging PG.

I read somewhere that Toppin has decent ball handling skills, growing up he played the guard spot, he was just 6-2 then had a massive growth spurt shooting his height to 6-9 or so.

He does have good ballhandling skills for a big, but that doesn't mean you want him running an offense or creating in iso consistently. At least at the start.
I think we wont expect Toppin to bring up the ball like Randle din last year but if asked to from time to time he might make a better job at it

Barrett’s future if you want him to be successful is as a point forward facilitator. He will never be a great shooter. I hope he can improve and become a fair shooter. Pairing barrett up with whatever 3 and D we draft at 8 and a stretch 4 in free agency will help Barrett because he can drive to the basket and kick it out to those guys

We definitely need more guys that can shoot. Also agree that no matter how much many complain about our PG's, they would all be less of concern if they had solid shooters around them. Smith has proven that he can break down a defense and create for others and would benefit from having shooters. Franks lack of offense would also be less obvious if he had better shooters. Payton is also a pass first PG that would benefit from shooters. His ability to run an offense is sometimes overlooked.
For me, RJ should still be given the chance to be our main SG. Fact is despite his horrible free throw shooting, he had a very good first year. Think he will have a much improved outside shot and if he improves his free throw percentage as well, he will be a tough guy to stop. But your right, if he does not improve his shooting, he will have a hard time being a starting SG in the league.
