just saying, but i think he's going to benefit hugely from increased NBA spacing. since he seems to have a decent outside shot, opponents can't sag off him too much.

hope i'm right!!

He definitely wins the contest for best rookie nickname. “Help us, Obi 1!” Lol

We should have a nice Hi-Lo game with MRob. Man, I can't wait to see him play.

I know Obi gets compared a lot to Amare and understandably so but another comparison I can make is KG. Obi has good dribble for a big man and he’s also already a better shooter than Amare

amare and Obi both play with some infectious swagger (not too much). our team needs some more of that "why not us" attitude, never quit

comes in handy when fighting through some adversity

It would be awesome if Obi came out with the goggles on a night that Amare showed up at the Garden

This young man should be an offensive force. Hopefully Tibbs can improve his defense enough that he can actually keep the kid on the court.

Strange little fact:

His younger brother, Jacob Tobbin transferred to UK this year after spending his freshman year at RI. Yes, another strange (but strangely predictable) Kentucky tie-in. (Jacob seems to have had a growth spurt earlier than Obi (he's also in the 6'8/6'9 range)

Hoping we get to see more around the basket. Also set up more weak side dives for him through penetration.
