Knicks · Quickley - a predictable reach at 25 (page 1)

Knixkik @ 11/18/2020 10:35 PM
Maybe they could have had him at 33 but they wanted to make sure they got him. Shooter and Kentucky connection. We have had threads on him. This one made too much sense.
fitzfarm @ 11/18/2020 10:37 PM
Yessssss!!! This kid is a stud
BRIGGS @ 11/18/2020 10:42 PM

He's got a ridiculous wingspan. He'll be solid off the bench.

You have to imagine Kenny Payne knows something we don’t.

RonRon @ 11/18/2020 10:47 PM
for all the people knicks hired on this regime, they need have just gotten presti or morey but of course dolan will always make dolan type moves
but think "building a team" takes a lot more skill and vision that we just did not seem to get in my opinion.....

love how pistons moved all over the place

Nalod @ 11/18/2020 10:52 PM
New Regime. Just because we don’ t understand it don’t make it stupid.
We are not eating pancake anymore!
Briggs calling a bust on draft night on the 25 pick? LOL
MS @ 11/18/2020 10:52 PM
Seems incredibly stupid.

RJ Hampton at least had some upside and maybe would have been a useful trade chip. We need to flip Randle and maybe RJ and him get Olipido. Something to give us an injection and relevance. Seems like we are dealing for no reason right now.

BRIGGS @ 11/18/2020 10:55 PM
I’ve never seen this

Flip 27-39 to 23 only to flip it back for 25 33 then reach? Wtf?

you just called the Knicks stupid and you want them to trade Barrett for Oladipo who is coming off major leg surgery?

Its a reach when you say its a reach..........

ramtour420 @ 11/18/2020 10:58 PM
Here I will apply my "name metrics" and predict that with a name like that he will be a contributor right off the bat. This kid not only makes our rotation, he will be a starter for us eventually. He is that shooter that we needed so desperately.
TheGame @ 11/18/2020 11:02 PM
The kid can shoot and play defense. We literally have no other pgs on the team that can do both effectively, so from that stand point he is an upgrade. He does not know how to run an offense yet and he will most likely end up being like a Kyle korver type at the pg spot for us, but he should fit in nicely with RJ. He was like the last elite 3 pt shooter in this draft. It was a reach but not a terrible one.

It's quite simple. they traded away a 2nd round pick and late 1st to move up so they can possible move further up with those 2 first rnd picks.

UTAH connect made that happen, once they couldn't move up and they got one of their top 3, move back down

Exactly. Might not agree with the picks, but can't fault the strategy.

In my 30+ years as a fan I don't remember us being so active moving up and down, cherry 🍒 picking
MS @ 11/18/2020 11:10 PM
RJ Hampton snd Randle in the package not Barrett. Small PG instead of a guy that was a lottery pick a year ago, makes no sense.

Snore fest for our last two picks.

Where are you hearing this?

jskinny35 @ 11/18/2020 11:16 PM
Tonight felt like Kevin Costner was making our deals but at least we were on the right end of those deals (regardless of who we selected)
