No doubt he’s a potentially great fit with RJ. I wish I knew the role they see Quickley in though.

All good points. I wanted a 3 and D guy bad in this draft and Vassell was my guy but I also like Quickly and Toppin is just too good to pass on

Both guys the Knicks drafted shot around 40% from 3pt in their college careers (2 seasons each). That's a step in the right direction. To me the draft was a homerun. Free agency, obviously not but we will see how things go.
I'm interested in eventually seeing a lineup of;

This lineup is close for me. Quickley's shooting is the thing I am most excited about. But, I don't think the SF I want to see is on our roster yet. I really want to see Quickley next to Barrett though, spreading the floor and moving to the open spaces. In my head, Quickley is the best shooter we have seen in years. I also think his 6'10 reach at PG is a positional advantage. Barrett's size at SG is also a positional advantage makes me not want to push him to SF. An athletic 3&D at SF completes my youth squad. Might have to wait until next year to get that as there seems to be a lot of good wings coming up. I slot in Bullock in the short term with the express hope that this coaching staff can get through to Knox and get him some confidence. I think we now have coaches that actually care about the players.

Yeah I agree with that. I have made this comparison a lot, but I see Quickley as a George Hill-type. A new aged combo guard who can shoot and is long enough to switch on defense. Next year is definitely the year of wing stars in the draft after Cade, whom we will still be unlikely to get even with the worst record. Rivers I think sticks long-term because he's a combo guard who can play both positions and has ties to Thibs and CAA. But long-term I'm thinking Quickley is in the plan as a PG.
