Knicks · The fit between Robinson and Toppin will be the big question (page 1)

Obviously the nba is more of an open ended game. Using two lib threats will probably shrink the court for us on offense. The draft changed and while we got a good player I have legit concern with fit. I have to wonder if Avidja would’ve been better as a Mobile 4-3 who can handle the rock.

I’d be reasonably happy if we didn’t have a run jump center but we do. I’m not sure how any basketball fan can’t be alarmed at fit for this team. I was listening u to o Danny Ainge and he was talking about the fit of a player. Teams need court chemistry. I just don’t see it here. Neither Robinson or Toppin are ball handlers as well and will have more than questionable shooting ability.

You're talking about the important eof fit, but proposed drafting Wiseman (while having Mitch) and signing Wood. I don't understand how you think Mitch, Wiseman and Wood work but Mitch and Toppin don't?

Yep. Obi seems to be at least as good a shooter and ball-handler as Wood. Heck, If say Obi will probably be better in those categories. But defensively... could be an issue Mitchell and fouls.

Obi, according to his interview with MSG, has been described by his trainer as a 3pt shooter who’s very athletic. When asked about that, he talked about how he played a certain way because that’s what his coach needed, but he has many skills that he has refined during this pandemic. It’s intriguing because that would be a very favorable expansion of his game that definitely gives him more of a fit with Mitch.
