I don't think there's anyone left that is worthwhile and we're linked to. Only player I can think of that hasn't been pretty much signed by another team (that we were interested in) is Beasley.
Looks like another tank year
This year should be about developing young talent and not giving up first round picks. Being competitive on the court and developing good habits. Not quick fixes but also not tanking.
Back to the old days. Agents are just mentioning us to drive up player value. Not falling for it Begley! At least not hours after the last fail.

Agreed. Frank and DSJ or at end of their rookie deals. Give our players on rookie deals enough mins all year to make an honest evaluation. Compete, save cap space, and keep the % on our side to land a top 5 pick in next years deep draft.

So we included the #33 in this deal or what? Because I thought we got the Pistons pick because of #33?

So the legend is true.
Suddenly we have 3pt shooters (Obi also talked about his 3pt shot). I wonder how will this be used under Thibs offense.

that makes no sense because we have cap space now and no ones breaking their neck to sign here, even with a new regime.
We are going to have PAY to PLAY, that's the bottom line

Bottom line is right. If we're going to suck, we mind as well do it on the cheap. Are you expecting AD and Brandon Ingram to sign here? Or are you expecting Jeff Teague and DJ Augustine to push us into the playoffs? This free agency class sucks and the only players worth anything aren't coming here.
I think the knicks are finalizing a 3 year worth $41.2M for MKG! A good defender they are also signing Alec Burks for a 1 year $6M deal. It seem our youth will have a bigger chance to be featured this season. Next up hopefully is clarity on the starting point guard.
On the plus side the knicks brass didnt push the panic button and did something crazy.

Dude we are spinning our wheels, Nobody signs we tank, nobody wants to come to a losing team, doesnt matter if we had a billion dollars in cap room, unless we over pay it seems like nobody is coming here.
Then watch thibs get fired and leon moves on in 2 yrs. You may like flipping the roster every yr with cheap 1 yr talent, I don't

It just takes one. We overpaid last year and we sucked. You're right. We'll have to overpay at some point. But it can't be for the Randle's of the world.

Hope he's learning how to finish in the post and develop some sort of ability to use the glass. His footwork has always been sub-par, and other than dunks his game down low is crude, at best. A hook or jump hook would be nice, too.
Wow, we're actually going to go for an all out tank in a year with a stacked lottery! Can't believe it, but honestly it's the only way to give ourselves the best chance of landing a franchise changing talent (knowing our luck we'll still drop to 8th!).
Glad we seemed to realise the mistake of last year (doing huge 1 year over pays which just incentivised the new players to go after their own stats and muscle out the younger players.
We are going to absolutely stink this year! Even Detroit has over taken us in terms of talent, which is crazy considering they started off worse than us.

We didn't want to dish out big contracts- even with Hayward we only wanted to do a 2-3 year deal.
Time to look at teams looking to offload salary- I'm still interested in looking into Buddy Hield and Lonzo ball, but only if they can be had for free.
Im having concerns about how the knicks offseason is unfolding. It started off with a big move, unloading half the team creating a ton of cap space. Then a plan emerged from media about going after Hayward, several hours passed a new detail surfaced, Indiana is the preferred landing spot its seem the knicks are just being used to drive the price up for Hayward. The knicks front office is not budging, they are still hoping to land a big fish. In the meantime one by one other options are being taken off the market.
I mentioned before that i was questioning the front office's ability to close a deal outside the CAA and Jazz circles. It was refreshing to see a front office not overselling their offseason plans but on the downside not giving fans an official statement as to what the front office's general approach is is also frustrating specially when we see one by one free agents are taken off the board and the only move the knicks can come up with so far is a 1 year deal worth 6M for Alec Burks.
I know its much better than hearing a deal the knicks made for Noah, which is still in the books for 2 more years. The pickings are slim we are approaching desperation mode for previous administrations, If you think the knicks are not having a good offseason think again, there is still the Westbrook trade or the Wall trade. Looking at the current players in the roster, last year's roster might still be better, the needle hasn't moved that much. As a knick fan i just want to hear from the front office say that we should not panic, there is a plan and we will not deviate and make a head scratching deal. On the flip side tank mode for 2021 draft might now be an option.
