Joakim Noah still 3rd highest paid LOL
I know some Knicks fans are not happy but to me all is well. Filling the cap with some useful players/expiring contracts or a couple possible lightning in a bottle guys maintains flexibility going forward. Down the road when we have taken a step forward and can sign someone who makes a difference which to me a Hayward or FVV etc. would not do this coming season.
At this point the Knicks will have 3 barely differing lineups and one will get the night off every third game.
I can't seem to find what the Knicks traded to get Ed Davis and the picks in the first place?

Three different lineups good for about 10 wins each...sounds about right.

Thank you! very much Charlotte Hornets
for talking Hayward off the Table!!!
Mr Hayward nice talent, going to be more skilled Kristaps Porgy v2.0 verson! (FACT write it)
KNICKS Dont NEED that! player whom will break down physically
Thx God, team need to go after their own "ISSUEs free" NBA talents.
Skilled 2 way durable players or talents with versatility whom don't mind getting scutanized in NY City big apple mecca.

Nothing.
Jazz move Salary save
Knicks acquire forward Ed Davis and picks in trade with Jazz
The Knicks basically bought two second-round picks for $5 million. The Utah Jazz dealt forward Ed Davis and his remaining
one year, $5 million contract to the Knicks, who will also get two 2023 2nd round picks for absorbing the salary, ESPN reported..
Also Jazz got the NY 27 & 38th pick in draft

we should give dario saric a contract poor mans gallo still best free agent left on the market.

I would love to get rid of Randle and replace him with Saric. Saric is weird, he's had effective stretches then turns to trash and back again. But he can shoot okay from 3. Would be a nice backup for Toppin or placeholder until Toppin is ready.
Knicks are sneaky moving for the future. Fans looking at the present.
Did we address all our needs? Depends on what you think “our needs” are.
PG? Maybe its Quickly. Maybe that’s the future. But width all the picks we have the next few years all this changes with trades, FA’s, and the draft.
The fun is not being right or wrong or trying to prognosticate some form of theory of why we are so awful.
Its the games.
The Drama of rookies succeeding or failing on the court! That is awesome.
I remember the KNicks vs. Nets when Lin broke out. Was cooking for my daughter and her friends and had the game on.
Thats what fans do.
Remember were you when when Linsanity started? I know, get a life1!! LOL
Maybe when Dolan interviewed Rose he asked “What do other teams do to succeed”? He might have explained the long tedious process. Then Dolan asked “ How would you do this?”.
I’m just guessing.
I expect we have no Gleague or its a regional limited schedule this year.
I expect the young guys to get a chance early. If they don’t get it one they get filled in by the Vet in waiting.
What we don’t know is the value of players not traded. We don’t know what the calls are like.
I have to say overall I am impressed with the take of posters on this board -- so many here seem to get it (while having their own spin and tweaks of course!). Another board I post on most are wetting their pants and I just turned on ESPN radio and they're yelling that because the Knicks" "failed" now we "have to do whatever it takes" to get Westbrook. Ai yi yi. Thanks guys and keep the faith.
I like what the Knicks FO is doing. Lets be real guys
This free agent class is mediocre at best.
Gordon Hayward has the worst contract ever. Michael Jordan is the Michael Jordan of bad FOs.
FVV we were lying to ourselves that he will not go back to Toronto. If Toronto gave him 4-Year $85M what does that mean he would ask from the Knicks 100M?
Anthony Davis was going to stay with the Lakers
Danilo Gallinari three-year $61.5 million contract I feel is not justified. He is not an all-star by any means.
We have to continue the course, I know everyone is frustrated. I am frustrated too as this team has not be relevant for a long time. It is going to take a while to fix all the mistakes we made. Signing a player for more than he is worth is not the answer.
Haven't posted regularly here in a while but love the chill vibes on this thread right now. Was glued to twitter for draft and FA news but some of the Knicks fans on there are so snarky and OMG, DO something Leon!!!
We're being a normal team. Try to get better. Don't do anything dumb. Don't do anything crazy. Take what the defense gives you. It's simple and I'm loving it.
So far loving what the new front office is doing . No over paying for over rated stars like Hayward
Get a defensive stud backup in Noel, trade for spellman a solid stretch 4 back up, resign Reggie and elf. Bring in rivers for mid season trade for picks, a+ on draft, I hope this is the future of good moves.
Mitch, Noel
Toppin, spellman
Knox, Reggie
Rj, Burke, Powell
Quickley, Frank, elf
Obviously the starters might change but the starters in my line up are the guys I want to see get the most minutes as well as Frank
Dsjr and randle are goners I think
The east is 9 deep right now. Even if we traded for Russ it would be hard to crack that 9.
The West there are decent odds of Dallas being on the outside looking in. Though the new playoff format to get in will benefit Luka. Houston & Thunder should probably drop off. While Warriors, Suns & Wolves should climb up. Not to mention Memphis and Spurs can't be counted out.

Good thing the play-in tourney is 7-10 seeds

NBA is keeping the pandemic format?
