What a relief! Thumbs up Leon Rose for staying away from those broken knees.
KnickDanger @ 12/2/2020 8:07 PM
Whew. Or should I say Double Whew.
EwingsGlass @ 12/2/2020 8:16 PM
Something more has to happen because Wizards are hard capped after signing Robin Lopez with the MLE. So, they are either flipping Westbrook or they have to salary dump.

I think they are just under?

"I'll trade you my problem for yours." Coming off an Achilles injury and carrying that contract, I'm surprised the Rockets pulled the trigger. They also just sgned Cousins who is also coming off an Achilles injury and a torn ACL. This isn't a trade that a team makes that's looking to rebuild, but still trying to win. Not sure Wall is a better fit next to Harden unless Silas can somehow convince Harden to play off the ball like he did in OKC. Either way, its a relief to see teams swap problem players with hefty contracts and neither of those teams wear the orange and blue.

Yeah. You are right they should have about 900k left.

Yeah, but I feel Beal is the ultimate loser in this. He's probably looking at old Oladipo tape in OKC drenched in a cold sweats.

Washington is getting the better player. If Hoston was smart, they would trade Harden at the deadline for a boat load of assets. As long as the Knicks are not involved, I am good. This team needs to just continue building through the draft.

Ahhh, just wait. Boogie and Wall are both from Kentucky...connect the dots. Check Berman's next article hahaha

super relieved. two bullets dodged

NY media predictably says KNicks "missed out" plans are "up in flames". they honestly don't have the team or the fanbase's interest at heart. they only want to stir up controversy and get clicks

The media are bullshit. They just stir up negativity

OKC got a kings ransom for Westbrook and now he was traded for a guy who hasn’t played in 2 years because of injury and relied on his athleticism?

Life comes at you fast

Wiz roster is a good fit for Westbrook. And they also felt Wall wasn't committed to bball like he should and was out partying to much. To get out of his contract is amazing for them. Brown, Hashi, Byrant are all on the come up. And they retained Bertans. They have the shooters and a guy like Westbrook works for them for what they need this moment imo.

East is gonna be real competitive. Raptors lost Ibaka and Gasol, they could be in for a drop off, as could Boston.

GustavBahler @ 12/2/2020 11:03 PM
Relieved but not surprised. Would have been surprised if the FO went through all the trouble of keeping all that cap space free, to blow it on PGs past their prime. From all appearances.

They know of the Knicks chequered past in that department.

Westbrook
Beal
Avidja
Bertans
Bryant

The spacing there will be pretty solid. Even Bryant shot 40% from 3 on 2 attempts per game.

Don't forget Rui and Troy. I'm not sure how that forward rotation works out. The defense will be bad no matter who they put in. The biggest issue for me is how well Beal and Westbrook co-exist. Beal went from being the man, averaging 30 a game, back to being an over glorified floor spacer. Don't think Beal is long for the Wiz.

aint eating good food ? Durability issue.. But quite a Talent.

Westbrook (my pick way back in draft) WILL get Bradley Beal to either Leave OR fight
The Ego's of Beal and Westbrook wont be easy... to win.

Since DJ cant stand the Hous Rockets (see Jeremy Lin, Steal deal NYK)
John Wall is = Kristaps P. version 3.0

Not going to work if player cannot stay on NBA court.
Wall must change his Diet ! or his body won't hold up.

Horrific trade for the Rockets. Wall is done. The pick is even lottery protected - I’m sure that will be Stephen A and Max Kellerman’s high iq takes on it

Oh yeah, might as well not even play this upcoming season because the Knicks didn’t trade for John Wall

smackeddog @ 12/3/2020 5:38 AM
Phew, I can finally relax! Both bullets dodged!

I am actually looking forward to seeing if John Wall can still play at a high level, but I'm glad it's not on our dime
