We just need the mavs to lose a bunch of games. I don’t care how, and don’t want to wish a injury on anyone...... They just need to lose games

That’s how masturbation was invented— a bunch of humans having inappropriate thoughts. We have however survived millions of years with them👀
Let us know the next time you break your ankle masturbating. Openly saying we'd be better off as sports fans if some harm came to a player. Is no different than me saying that this board would be better off if you were on a respirator, with covid. Ghoulish.
Stephen King made a fortune typing down ghoulish thoughts. I think he was quoted once that while he was watching his children play on the living room floor, his "alligator brain" would take over. Only sometimes, I hope.

I'd say the scummy part surfaces more occasionally than we'd like to admit.

Wow man. You must’ve not liked Don Rickles. I guess people can’t decipher a facetious thought process. Next time I go that route—I’ll put a surgeons general warning up!
Briggs, not for anything but your not exactly known to be a comedic genius. Pulling the Rickles card out does not work because you say some weird stuff at times and when called out you like “Just kidding”. Bit like a 13 year old girl does when they take it too far. Or Trump when his tweets are WTF moments.
Try weaving conversationally into existing threads then pull a “take” or a “bit” and see how it goes within the context of the convo. But when you start a thread its like you walk into the room, change the subject or pretend there is not an existing conversation.
Alright alright. Briggs never said “I wish”.
Let’s just all agree that we want Luka to keep eating those Twinkies, that it’s in our best interest if he chose to be pudgy.

Let’s all club together and send him boxes of twinkies all season long.
Also apparently he has a personal chef who was brought in to help with his weight conditioning earlier in the year. I’m beginning to suspect the Chef is BRIGGs

First Stephen King book I read was "Christine" in 83'. Never thought a book could scare the crap out of me.
King created fictional characters jrod. Not a jerkoff fantasy of a living pro athlete getting hurt. Big difference.

King created all sorts of fictional crap out of his real, living brain. Including jerkoff shit involving lawnmowers and whattadyaknow -- pandemics, that make an inappropriate thought about a broken ankle sound pretty tame.
Not defending BRIGGS here, Gustav, just commenting on the commonality of human ghoulishness.
Actually, I hope Luka gets in great shape and makes KP's absence totally irrelevant! Screw the draft picks! LMAO
If Luka breaks his ankle I’ll be laughing, hard.
We seem to be approaching this thread/issue from a few different standpoints -- earnest, disgusted (and seeking the high moral ground), and tongue in cheek. Put me in the latter camp. I will say that I actually really like Luka -- obviously as a player -- but also the fact he owns his weight gain and body type. I'm thinking of Charles Barkley who wasn't exactly an Adonis but had no trouble being a perennial all star -- and staying on the court. You also have guys like Shaq, Baron Davis but then again an Eddy Curry who ate himself out of the league. I would love Luka on my team -- too bad he is a Mav playing with that 7 foot herpes sore Douchezingis and on the team whose picks we own.

Tore up my ankle playing hoops before I left NYC. 4 months on crutches, one with a cane. Went to the same place the Knicks go for treatment. They said sometimes a sprain is worse than a break.
Could never cut to the rim the same way again. Dont believe your toungue would be planted firmly in cheek in that situation.
If you've been there, you should know better. Not a fun way to spend your summer.
If you have to go there to get a laugh....

I am sorry you got hurt. Yes I suffered a severe knee injury as a soccer player that kept me off he field for a season in college and no I was never the same. The knee is now arthritic and what are ya gonna do?
And I will choose tongue in cheek over tongue lashings thank you very much.
wait - we also need to be rooting for the Clippers to end up in the lottery and get pick 5, no higher - as we can swap our picks this year as well:
2021 first round draft pick from L.A. Clippers
New York has the right to swap its 2021 1st round pick for the L.A. Clippers' 2021 1st round pick protected for selections 1-4 (if this pick falls within its protected range and is therefore not conveyable, then the L.A. Clippers' obligation to New York will be extinguished) [L.A. Clippers-New York-Washington, 2/6/2020]

Speak for yourself. My favorite fat man wore #2.

Had knee surgery last year. Cant run anymore, go up steps. And no one got a "toungue lashing" from me. I was more than diplomatic, considering the subject matter.
Some of you overeacted to the mere inference that this subject was in poor taste. Which it most definitely was.
If you're a fan of the last 4 years, I suppose joking about someone becoming seriously hurt, because sports. Is par for the course.
I’m sorry, do we need to justify our sarcasm based on our medical charts? Mine is long which means I can talk a lot of smack/voodo/ironic shyt and what not?
I’m not sure how far we get on the spectrum to know where this all comes from. I think some of us cross the line and then are told where it is, then instead of Apple-a-Gizing we say “Only kidding”.
This is the Kelly Ann Conway deflection technique.
I swear on my bloated ankle that Briggs told us he found her attractive in his 2016 pro trump days.
Dont remember exactly when, years ago. A poster objected to the use of "team cancer". I had lost about half my family to cancer. Had used that expression on occasion. It had been an exprsssion in heavy use in the media, wasnt considered out of bounds to use that expression.
The selfish prick thing to say would have been "I have plenty of relatives with cancer, and Im ok with it, so who cares?". But most came to the conclusion that for some, Cancer hits closer to home, and other posters should respect that fact. Since then, the use of that expression has fallen out of favor in the media.
Tony Dungy recently was put on blast for suggesting that Prescott suffering a season ending injury was a "blessing in disguise" for Dallas.
This was not a random comment in a long diatribe. This bad joke was the topic for discussion. Ive lurked or posted here since the start. Never seen a thread like that. Never had cause to object to someone else's sense of humor in starting a thread.
