Maybe but at some point we have to keep players that fit. Burks is the one supporting cast piece who feels like a fit. The reality is only Barrett and Toppin are players we know the front office is committed to. I really want to believe they will come around on Mitch too. Quickley is a potentially good complimentary player, as is Rivers. But Burks is really the only sure thing in terms of a player who can be plugged in without issue around this core group and be an impact player. Eventually we have to keep some of these players instead of just ship them out and rinse and repeat.
Burks should of got a 2 year deal for early bird rights
Because he is trade bait, and players don’t give the Knicks team options unless you promise them 1 Million guaranteed.
He’s trade bait for a contender with too much depth and probably came here knowing that.

You think he believes he’s trade bait ? He came here due to his relationship with Perrin and Bryant.
He can shoot from 3 (38%]

Maybe trade bait, maybe not
The Knicks need guys who can shoot from 3.

And I think he's even better percentage wise as a catch and shoot guy. I think I saw 42% for his career, or something like that. A good catch and shoot player who also moves the ball well, doesn't overdribble, and can adequately defend. Can't let these players go for little compensation back. I will reiterate, Burks and Quickley are the step forward in terms of surrounding Barrett, Robinson, and Toppin with fitting complimentary players. Last year we had none other than Bullock who was coming off injury.

Burks and Quickley need to platoon a the 2 with RJ strictly at the 3.

Yeah at this point that’s probably best. Then at least you have shooting at that position for 48 minutes.

It looks like Quickley is being groomed to be the PG. I think the Knicks will run a four wing rotation of Frank, Burke, RJ, and Bullock with Austin Rivers being a small guard who maybe gets some time at the two as well if they want two ball handlers in the game together.
It’s a big, BIG if, but if Knox can play like he did today semi regularly and hit 3pt shots. Then Burks becomes more viable as a trade asset.
