Why cause quick is young... he’s clearly our best PG and spreads the floor he doesn’t allow teams to smoother or cheat like they do with Payton or Frank on the floor cause quick will destroy you from deep...
He needs to play big minutes if we want to win....

Payton being complete garbage is why the Knicks looked so much better with IQ on the floor
True. Biggest issue thought was on defense. We gave up 61 points in the first half. With Quick in there. And 60 points in the second half. Good teams do not give up 121 points!! Thibs knows this. While PG play still an issue, it wont matter who is at point if we do not fix that.
It’s no coincidence that since quick went out we sucked
Loosing our centers hurts to. Same story with avoidable fouls.
Well, Thibs coached the 2nd half of the game the same-way Fizdale coached the 2nd half of each LOSER Knicks game SMH

The season was already packed and we all knew it. This team is too green. They will have stretches where they will make us very proud, like tonight. Then they will remind us they are very young and not very good yet. It’s ok. We are rebuilding.
I know we are rebuilding but I don’t think we are just gonna lose constantly. Plus with the new lottery system that probably wouldn’t help anyways
We are not gonna TRY to lose constantly. We’ll just fall short constantly, like tonight.
Again quick plays and we win this game he gives everyone a better shot . He’s so good at organizing our offense. And not letting the defense pounce .... and that’s what the pacers were able to do with quick out of the game

They are well coached, they are scrappy and active on defense. Sabonis is a headache and they have shooters. Oladipo is there too. They aren’t garbage at all.

Could’ve been worse
To me this game (other than the IQ injury) was a win because we saw a drastically improved RJ and Quickleys solid play looks like it will carry over into the regular season when he’s healthy.

Randle had a lot of positives so he was useful. Unlike Payton.
Lost our first game of the season on the road against a decent team and some are already lining up up jump off the Brooklyn Bridge...what did I expect....
Quick played well but he is a rookie and the wear and tear of the season might be too much. Peyton is trash and I legit think Austin Rivers has a shot at being the starting PG.
Flip side Thibs not give Frank or DSJ burn most game and even doing a non pg lineup for a few minutes was a mistake. Peyton played bad enough either or both Frank And DSJ should have got his minutes.

I don’t know, I think this game was totally winnable if quick didn’t get injured... again if sabonis is out they are garbage
Payton should never see the floor again, Frank over Payton as back up all day
Also low key Bullock looked bad at there too. Burke played well, but I would have liked to see Frank out there at SG when Burke sat down
