Knicks · Either sign mudiay , isiah thomas or trade first round pick for terry rozier. (page 1)

Our point guard position is bad and i love immanuel quickly and he deserve playing time but i don't want to rush kid right away make him starter and if he has couple bad games as a starter i don't want his confidence to be ruined. Quickly should be getting 25 to 30 minutes of the bench when healthy. Here the thing i think we got no choice if payton and rivers are going to play this bad this season and we have no choice and we have to trade 2023 dallas first round pick for terry rozier which looking like strong possibility. Thibs like playing veterans player i don't how long he is going to be patient if these point guards like payton, dsj, frrank, and rivers play bad.It wouldn't surprise if thibs goes to leon rose, perry, dolan office and tells them to trade first round pick for rozier or a capable starting point guard. I would cut spellman and sign mudiay or isiah thomas it better than playing payton.

No, no and no. Wait for IQ to get healthy and take it from there. There is a reason that two of those guys are out the league. And I'm sure the front office didn't create all of this salary flexibility for Terry Rozier. Terry isn't even a PG.

Terry rozier makes almost same amount money randle does this season 18.7 million and 17.9 next season we need a point guard desperately and thibs likes veteran point guards. Thibs isn't going play dsj or frank because they don't deserve it and they are worst then payton so if can get an upgrade in rozier he will do it. I am not in favor trading first round pick for a point guard but at some point the knicks are going to have to something to get a legit starting point guard.

Agreed....Also, Rozier dropped 40 and they still lost. How much does he really effect winning?! Would rather have a shot at Cade or Suggs at seasons end.. And can we stop trying to trade 1st round picks

jskinny35 @ 12/24/2020 8:01 PM
Between those two I would go Mudiay as he won't cost much and thought he played decently the year he was here auditioning... Totally agree that best thing for Quickley would be to play as primary PG reserve to acclimate and earn his minutes. You learn the wrong message when you start without earning it simply because the vets in front of you stink... See Kevin Knox first year...
Welpee @ 12/24/2020 11:42 PM
Mudiay or Thomas are so good they're not even on a roster right now. If we brought either of them in we would have the same thread in two weeks calling for us to get rid of them too. Typical overreaction.
cooch2584 @ 12/25/2020 9:17 AM
I dont if ill get an kick in the butt but is it too much to ask and see how our guards and overall team does for the first 10 games
Philc1 @ 12/25/2020 5:35 PM
Mudiay stinks. Zero defense which is clearly just a motivation issue because he is athletic enough to be a good defender in the nba he just doesn’t want it - he probably just wants to play in China
Philc1 @ 12/25/2020 5:36 PM
Thomas I would consider
martin @ 12/25/2020 6:14 PM
never consider any dudes who have broke bodies or are out of the league

I was one of the biggest Mudiay apologists when he was here and even I had to jump ship on him. I don't see how he is a significant upgrade of Payton. So I'm in total agreement with you.
knicks1248 @ 12/25/2020 8:47 PM
The Knicks Had enough options this summer to upgrade the position, they chose not to, and they a got applauded for it. (yay the knicks didn't do nothing stupid like Trade for CP or WB, or Wall, Or bledsoe, or sign rondoe, teague)

You saw what peyton, frank and DSJ gave you last yr, and the yr before that, and the yr before that..I guess Fool me once fool me twice doesn't apply here...but here we go again..needing a pG

ramtour420 @ 12/25/2020 11:40 PM
Mudiay or IT you probably want on a one year prove it deal.m, right? Last time Mudiay was here he looked for his shot mostly to prove he wasn't a bust. Now he would be doing that times 10 to prove he belongs in the league. Taking shots from everyone. I would rather Burks , Bullock take those shots so that we could either resign them or trade them for a late first rounder to a playoff team looking for extra firepower. Or he would be taking minutes from our youth which would even worse in the long run. I would rather sign a real PG from a Chinese league or something. Sign the best PG we can get from the G league. Something
Or better yet, have Frank run 5 PnR per game with Obi. Just 5 PnR per game. Frank cannot break down the d with his dribble by himself. But he can do it within a designated play. Obi can score when he is rolling downhill off of a PnR

I think If elf keeps looking as bas as the opener Frank will get a shot. Quick is gonna be out for at least a week, let’s Hope tibs will run some plays for Frank to get into a flow. Like Knox I’d let to see Frank take in up a notch and play more aggressive.

The past has shown us, Frankie needs pt to establish a rhythm. Would have thought Thibs would give him a go considering his defensive impact on games.

“Fool me once......”. LOL. I’m sorry, who are your talking about? Yourself or the knicks?

You don’t understand Rondo do you? What he brings and what he does not.
Others come with a price. Like picks. Think how fast the pick used for IQ could have been ceremoniously moved by us fans to get a small blip.
I think we upgraded with Rivers and IQ.

Your calling knicks foolish without considerations of making moves. I think thats shortsighted and foolish.

JesseDark @ 12/26/2020 12:48 PM
Why give up an asset like a 1st round pick and have no guarantee of a spot in the playoff? Mudilay, I’ve seen that movie before. Isiah Thomas belongs back on the Celtics, but I would consider him here.

Yet every single coach we have had starts out by putting him in the dog house, then slowly realizing the value he brings to the table. What gives? Do we consistently hire doofuses for coaches? Or does Frank rub people the wrong way? Seems unlikely, he comes across as polite, well-mannered, soft-spoken, modest European kid with good upbringing, the kind of guy you feel good your daughter is dating.

But seriously it does make even the strongest advocate for Frankie wonder why? Possible language barrier? His agent is a complete dusch? Internal politics? Just his bum jumper?

Who knows? Back court of Frankie and RJ is scary defensively tho.

Honestly we got do something and get rozier here asap we can't have dsj, frank, and payton show its over for them.

But what about our precious tank? I actually agree with the Rozier get. We need a floor general in the worst possible way. Trade all of our PG, release them, Just keep Frank and whoever else.
