This team has absolutely sucked in free agency abd the draft for the most part
We do have Barrett who is good but also has some shooting limitations but he could be a third wheel
We watched Christian Wood play like an absolute all star mobile 5— why did we not spend the money???????????????????
We gave Portis 15 mm last year— do the Knicks really think Toppin was giving 20-10 anytime soon?
We miss everything— we don’t get good fa. We can’t find undervalued free agents and we sick in the draft.
The Knicks are king of New York? Sure. We had the same cap space the nets had— and the premium fa went to Brooklyn
It’s the owner— he’s a sith— none of these nba players like him and he’s the dumbest owner in sports.
Just like the F Jets winning a game —- I know James Dolan would win the same game cuz he’s so f bad!!!!!!!!!!!
Please sell
The knicks were applauded for not spending money...Thats as low as a team can go
Im not saying perry is the problem, but when you have a duplicate off season and he's the only one left, you have to wonder.
Your waiting on a super star to request a trade, and offer up BS when the time comes..offer FA low ball offers like we're contenders and we have options.
Fans that pipe dream about getting the #1 pick after the 1st week of the season, even though it hasn't happen in 20 drafts.
We basically wouldn't give up a 1st pick unless Luka or lebron are involved in the trade...
And every off season the PG position becomes the least of our problems despite being the only issue
I think maybe Dolan has finally found a Pres that can build something.
I know it's frustrating - but what exactly did you expect? Even had we signed FVV, what exactly would be our record?
Now - I think Dolan is awful, probably cursed. Was lucky to be born into the right family- not much else.

Man, what about the Rangers winning?
Wood nba star in the making. No one watching this?
Leon rose already proved he stinks
Norlens noel?
Y do we want cap space anyway? For who??? Where are the great basketball guys who missed Christian wood— we had the cap space???

Honestly I don’t know.... next year FA looks like trash. We got a lot of money and their really won’t be anyone to spend it on.

some fans screaming about westbrook and CPs contract like we had better things to do with our cap space. Then start a thread about our bogus pg situation
Wood has played 1 regular season game. Yes, 1 game. This is beyond parody. Yes he's looked good, yes I would rather of signed him for that number and drafted Vassell or Lewis, but can we at least wait until mid season until we cry about it.

We all know how easy it is for the Knicks to sign quality free agents. We just name the price and they all come running.
When does the shut up part start?

Hopefully Soon. Nothing personal to Briggs but these type of threads are why not many take him seriously

I agree it's the owner. It's hard to see the Knicks ever winning with Dolan in charge and it will make it less enjoyable if they do turn it around because Dolan doesn't deserve to have a winning team.
This thread is exactly why people say you can't conventionally rebuild in NY. Leon Rose LITERALLY had to start with less than expansion team roster and guys are talking about getting 35 year old PG's.
Wood looks good. So did Jerome James, who also performed really well in a contract year.
Russell already showed he is not ideal in a rebuilding situation and he has less miles ahead of his career than behind it.
Chris Paul wasn't going to solve all our ills and would be wasted at the point we are in a rebuild.
If Toppin and Quickley were ready made All stars they would have been drafted at the very top of the draft. They werent. They have work to do, like 99.9% of all rookies in the league. P.s. Vassell is struggling too.
Because a team doesn't do what you want, doesn't mean they suck. It means they have a different plan and different information. It also doesn't require a thread every other day saying they suck because they didn't read your post and execute your plan.

Do you really think the knicks are on the right track
Do you think leon has done a better job (to start out) than the 3 previous regimes.
I can't recall any of the previous regimes having 60 mill in cap space and 7 future 1st round picks to start out.

I like what Leon has done. I knew going in this team wasn’t ready yet but we have a ton of picks and cap flexibility Along with a young core. Obviously we know you wanted to trade for a veteran/bloated contract like Westbrook Or Paul like we have done so many times in the past. But Leon was smart enough Not to do that

2 freaking games and briggs already tripping?? maybe trying to get the posts count up IDK
Some people, not naming names, dont know what it means to have to do a "culture change" They have sucked for so long its not just the team and front office but from the guy that cleans the toilet to the top of the heap hasta get losing outta their minds. ME?? Im just happy to watch games, evaluate both players and coaches and maybe see our players have fun just playing the games. JMHO

WORD!!!
Honestly, I don't wish to insult anyone (though I did and I apologize...a little). I'm tired of the message not the messenger, although the messenger posts a couple of 'regret" threads every day. We should have drafted "this guy" (a half dozen or so) before our rookies have played two games. And as others have pointed out, sabotaging the rebuild with misguided impatience. The hack media will certainly support you in that.
On the other hand I appreciate your passion. I know no one is going to change but as a long time Knicks fan I am up to endure these growing pains and rebuild in an intelligent, sure-footed manner, as opposed to the sugar rush quick fix nonsense that always turns out the same.

The Knicks have changed culture 8 x in 20 years. They have Barrett. It was reasonably easy to see Wood( since we had huge cap space)could’ve been a franchise type frontcourt talent the last 6 weeks last year— and the money it would’ve cost was not prohibitive. I’m not sure what they saw in Toppin for this team. I would’ve rather had several players— we didn’t need Toppin—and I’m not sure he’s gonna be much more than a bench player.
Quickley looks like a good 27 pick
We basically filled out our roster with no players we can go further with in free agency maybe Burks?
So forgive me— but be gone through the so called rebuild more than once. What I see is a lack of execution in free agency and for the most part poor drafting. That’s the truth
