Knicks · I give credit to all the posters who had Vassell as the pick (page 1)

BRIGGS @ 12/26/2020 11:10 PM
He was the right pick for the organization
I was way off on him myself
He offered the best combination of qualities we needed to go along with Barrett— moving Barrett to 3 and Vassell as our starting 2 G. There was no pg to take at 8. We could’ve used him so bad and he’s just gonna be a tile player for sa the next 2-3 years.
I agree 100% that Obi Toppin— who may be a good player for us—He was not the core t fit Vessell would’ve been.
ramtour420 @ 12/26/2020 11:38 PM
What makes you say that man?
Knixkik @ 12/26/2020 11:50 PM
Unless we are lucky enough to land Cade or Suggs, we are getting a wing at the top of this 2021 draft, so ultimately I think Obi was the best pick. There’s just so many wings that will be good options to continue to rebuild. Don’t overthink it. Obi was the BPA and is a fine pick, healthy or not.
smackeddog @ 12/27/2020 5:26 AM
It's been 2 games, Jesus! I didn't want to draft Obi, but I'm going to give him more than the 1 game he's played.
Philc1 @ 12/27/2020 6:30 AM
I wanted Vassell too and screamed for him for months but I also think Obi will be very good and has shown signs of promise
Welpee @ 12/27/2020 6:07 PM
If we're playing the way too early monday morning quarterbacking, Cole Anthony maybe needs to be in this conversation.

The Official "The Knicks didn't make the move I wanted them to make and now I'm going to cry about it all season" Thread is now working.

Martin, when are you going to ignore briggs post for the next month at least the next month??
asking for a friend
Knicksfan @ 12/27/2020 7:26 PM
So it’s going to be an overreaction each day? Can’t wait
KnickDanger @ 12/27/2020 10:51 PM
Vassell 0 for 4 in 12 minutes tonight, 2 rebounds, no assists or steals in a loss. So who should we have picked instead of Obi now?
Nalod @ 12/28/2020 7:54 AM
Thread title is like Briggs accepting his “UKsie” award and thanking the “Acadamy”.
Think of the odds. Every year 60 players are taken in first and second round.
Its likely every game some other player will out perform. Then on nights your guy does good somewhere in America there is an poster who also has regret but FOR OUR GUY.
Philc1 @ 12/28/2020 10:09 AM
These guys are 3 games into their careers chill
Nalod @ 12/28/2020 12:50 PM
Briggs gives “credit” because he wants someone to reciprocate?

At least he's cycled out of the "Nesmith is the next Glen Rice" thread mill. The draft is done. Let's move on to the Cade, Jalen Suggs cycle

Knixkik @ 12/28/2020 1:56 PM
I was a Vassell fan and felt he was a good pick (not realizing Haliburton or Toppin would be there.) I think he's going to be a good player and maybe a good starter long-term, but he wasn't the best pick on the board at 8.
xblvdels3 @ 12/28/2020 8:07 PM
Yes I was right about vassel. But like a previous comment there are plenty of good wings next year.

My picks was vassel bey and Quickley.

Toppin will be fine. Wasn’t disappointed.

Nesmith a DNP in the Celtics' loss to the Pacers yesterday for the record.

Maybe BRIGGS was right after all? Is this a reverse psych thread?
