Knicks · We are only luck and 2 events away from being great again (page 1)

I think we are looking at this wrong.

I think maybe 1 or 2 or these guys could ever be in the starting lineup of a team that wins a championship.

Is this a good bench for us in the future?

PF Toppin/Knox

SF Burks/Knox

C Mitchel Robinson

SG RJ Barret

PG I Quickley

Yes

Stop thinking of trading or signing a star. They don’t want to be here and they are used up commodities! With bloated contracts! The only guy who may want to come here is Zion in 2 years to play with RJ. This 5 is the future and could be a great “bench.” Everyone else is just smoke 💨 pay the others on the roster currently no mind.(tank commander soldiers)

These 5 are not going anywhere! They are learning toghether from the coach. He said it himself, we are winning or learning!!

Where do we go from here ?

We have 3 picks picks next year. First, draft a star pg at all costs! (All cost) maybe that’s why EP is the tank commander playing currently. From there we have like 70m in cap space to find 4 more stop gap players who could make us a legit playoff team next year. Next we have 2022 and 2023 draft to add another great player to play with our star pg. It’s that simple.

“We are only finding 2 great players away from being a top 5 team.”

I think any other moves and trades people are thinking is just over complicating things for your own interest. You just want your favorite player to be on the Knicks who will be fun to watch but we won’t ever contend!

Don’t undersell these guys. Contending teams would gladly trade for mitch or Barrett with the idea of developing them into starters either right away or down the line. No one is thinking bench guys. Obi and quickley will have to prove themselves of course but we can’t call them future bench players after only one game playing.

I agree with you. I’m just simplifying our future for fans who don’t get the build process. I said 2 of these guys have a chance to be great.
