I’ll admit I was one of those early in offseason who wanted him off the bench. Mostly for spacing purposes and his ball stopping that seemed to hurt our foundlings. I always believed in his potential as a passer but I didn’t think he’d take that step( we had Melo and Amare remember?). Glad he’s proving me wrong and I hope he can keep this up over the entire season.

But this Randle that we see now is a much better version. Randle 2.O will take your lunch money and give it as an assist to his teammate. Internal player growth is such a majestic sight to behold.
I like him too, I just wasn't a fan of the team makeup. But my opinion continues to be that if we fix the PG with better outside shooting and quality playmaking than it makes everyone look better. And in today's game, spacing issues does the opposite and makes everyone look bad.
He fit well with Porzingis
I thought we got him after Porzigis was traded

Melo and Spree also got along great. Too bad Bernard got hurt!!!
Did Randle really just drop a triple double and shoot 4/4 from 3, but 9 turnovers?

You know why? The answer is within a thread: “We play with no PG......”LOL

Think we should have him coming off the bench. Lol What some fans did not understand is how hard it is to consistently put up the kind of numbers he has put up in the last three years. Just ask RJ how hard that is. The only thing he was missing is the willingness to share the ball and set others up with assists. He has absolutely done that. Now he needs to cut down on TO's and its All Star status. Some just thought it was impossible for a 25 year old to improve and add to his game. They were willing to give him up for a second rounder. Credit to the FO for not being that short sighted.

We did. Jmpasq is here to find everything wrong with Knicks and shit on every move, even imaginary ones. KP was traded. That trade freed up tons of cap space used for Randle and Morris. The Morris signing (and eventual trade) turned into Quickly. Randle is here and our best player and seems to be improving. So there's that

The real luck will be if the Mavs have some injury or we get lucky with their pick and grab a great player. Suddenly we look pretty good with this young squad and 5 FRPs in the next 3 years. We havent even seen Quickly and Obi play

he was a little out of control but mostly played really hard forced action when nothing was really working. He had 3 offensive fouls and most of those TOs were forgivable. A couple bad ones but the bottom line is in 44 minutes he was +3 and played hard. I think his most impressive attribute is his motor
When is the last time one of our point guards logged 11 assists?

they dont play Frank enough

Peyton had 12 in the last game of the season against the Hawks.
The Guy has had 17 career triple doubles, his only knock is that he can't shoot from deep

Oh Come on. Frank career average 3 assists per game in 20 mins. Not one of his strengths. All he knows how to do is bring up the ball and hand it off to someone.
Yes give randle credit the guy produces,he’s a star ... if you add a star to the Knicks right now my god we have a team

I honestly feel like there’s a chance we have the #2 and 3 guys on the roster already for a very good team. Barrett is up and down but will get to that #3 spot. We just need a #1. We have a borderline star and a future star. Plus plenty of quality role players. We just need a superstar.

Nice. I missed the game (work), but it’s good to hear that they weren’t all bad TOs. Nice for him to notch the triple double. Those assist numbers are looking good this season

Maybe Fiz was right and Randle is our LeBron?
We do have to remember that Randle won’t keep shooting this well from 3, but maybe he’s a 36-37% 3pt shooter now , which would be huge.

Based on eye test there seems to be a clear difference though. It seemed really forced with Fizdale while here. It looks embedded within a coherent offense.
I hope Julius keeps up his high level of play, so that we can trade him for a 2021 first round pick to a lottery team.
I think randle is in the best shape of his life and it’s showing...also I think we finally have a great coaching staff that puts players in there comfort zones for success.
No way should we trade randle if he keeps playing this good, he’s playing like a super star something we’ve been needing for years

If he keeps up this level of play he is worth way more than a FRP. This year he is said to display leadership qualities and that's worth more to this team than another FRP
